Joy Sweet Treat Hanger

Is this the BEST? I love it when a project turns out the way you invisioned!!! I finally got a chance to play with my Big Shot Serif Essential Alphabet Dies - what else: J-O-Y for the season!!!!!! And to even incorprate a sweet treat cup (from the Holiday Mini)......even betta!! This has a Old Olive ribbon so it can be hung on a door knob for on the tree. Finished card size: 6-1/2" x 3-5/8 (that's to the top of the Round Tab).

Each side of the card has punched berries and punched leaves. The center berry is popped with a dimensional. Both leaves and berries are highlighted with white gel pen.

Left side of card - it is also a better view of the Jumbo Eyelet.

Back of card: 16" long 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon used for this project.

Items to make this card:
(1) 6-1/2" x 3-1/4" CS in Real Red
(1) 6-1/2" x 3" in Designer Paper
(1) 2-5/8" x 2-5/8" CS in Real Red
(1) punched Round Tab using Old Olive CS
(6) 1/2" Circles using Real Red CS
(4) Large Ovals using Old Olive CS
(1) "J", (1) "Y" from the Big Shot Serif Essentials

To make the leaves: score the oval in half, then use the 1/2" Circle Punch in combination with the Small Oval Punch at the "end". See below the punched pieces.

To center the Sweet Treat hole, make a template, fold in half, lightly mark with a pencil, then punch with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. (Photo below shows the template folded in half, exposing the pencil marked circle). Note: do not adhere the Designer paper to the solid CS yet.

Using the Small Oval Punch, punch 1/4" above the 1-3/4" punched circle for the tab.

This photo (pink arrow) shows the distance between the Small Oval and the Sweet Treat Cup. The Sweet Treat cup is not attached yet - see next photo.

To attache the Sweet Treat, apply adhesive to top side of the cup - do not remove the sticky adhesive on the Sweet Treat cup.

Attach the cup to the Designer Paper. Position the Sweet Treat Cover over the cup. Apply Sticky Tape on the right, left, and bottom (see pink arrows - aren't you lovin my low tech pink arrows? They really should be red!)

Apply regular adhesive to the rest of the Designer paper, remove backing of the sticky tape, place on top of Real Red CS. We love the clean card back! Fill with candy. And when the candy is empty - the card still saids JOY!!!! Well, didn't that just work out?
