Asian Twist Birthday Card

Like a twist card? This one is made with Brushed Gold card stock used for the die cuts: Kanji Happy Birthday Characters used on the twist panels is from Aliexpress. Washi paper and White card stock mats used. Card size is 3-3/4" x 5"

Card inside top: "make a wish" die cut in brushed gold from La-la Land Crafts. 
Corners have the dies cuts from Sizzix Architechural Accent Set.

 The Kanji Characters: say Happy Birthday

 Name is die cut using ART C Stamp and Alphabets (purchased from Michael's).

Kokeshi Japanese Paper Doll Card and Paper Clip Envelope

Made this ensemble for a birthday. The Box card finished size: flat 4-1/4" x 3-1/4". Open size is 4-1/4" x 1-3/4" x 3-1/4".
Paper dolls: die cut with various small designer papers. Dot the hair with a white gel pen, then use Star Dust Stickles.  For the backs: die cut body and sleeves using black card stock along with a 5/8" circle punch (to cover the face impression). Mini glue dots used to adhere main pieces with black foam tape above top of the large paper clip. Use a black marker to cover only the edges of the body so it does not show.

Front Panel: (oops, out of focus). Birthday Wishes stamped message from Waltzing Mouse Asian Garden 

 Side panels:

Paper clip envelope:  finished size 6-1/2" x 4-1/4".
Using 1 piece of card stock 6-1/2" x 10-1/2", score on the 10-1/2" side 1-1/2", 5-3/4".
Front Cover: cut designer paper 2-7/8" x 6-1/4", adjust measurement depending on the punch used.

 Band: White card stock mat is 1-3/4" wide cut 9" long, designer paper is cut 1-1/2" wide x 9" long.  Wrap the white card around the paper clip envelope before attaching the designer paper.  Add White card stock mat :1-3/4" square with a 1-1/2" square designer paper, pop this on to the band to cover the band seam. Scraps from the punched grass used. Attach image.  Remove the belly band:

 Inside card with the Asian scenery: using the Find it Trading Chinese Landscape, lightly sponged with Vintage Photo ink. Position the landscape under the punched grass.

The card with the paper clip dolls in the "grass" holder. The paper clip envelope pocket inside green card stock is cut 1-3/8" x 6-1/4" .

Asian Happy 90th Birthday

A milestone birthday celebration needs a memorable card.  Solid papers used from my stash.  Washi Paper from Hanko Designs (their site here).  My Favorite Things Happy Pandas clear stamp and matching dies. Karen Burniston by Sizzix: Accordion Flip 3D, Frame and Label Bracket die used for the base of this accordion card. Finished size 5" x 5"

Day 2 LLC Carmel Workshop - Asian Happy Critter Window Card

Day 2 project was a Window Corner Card  from the Day 2 Carmel Workshop which inspired a Asian Window card.   Papers used are from my stash (My Little Shoebox retired papers).  Bazzil Brown and Pink card stock used. A sheer pink ribbon is double bowed across the card bottom. La-la Land Crafts dies ( found here ) used: Koi Circle die, Cherry Blossom Border, Fan, Temple, and Lanterns. Finished card size: 6" x 6-1/2".

For this image,stamp and partially color. Then stamp a separate bear to pop on top for a more dimensional effect. 

Pagoda die is popped with foam tape in the bottom right corner:

Cherry Blossom Border is on each side of the card peeking out:

Card inside: This is the "negative" of the Koi Circle used in the front of the card.  Stamped message in the center.

Day 1 LLC Carmel Workshop - Asian Desk Organizer

This 3rd project from the Carmel Workshop was designed by Irina Blount. This project was altered to be a Asian themed Desk Organizer by using my own papers from my stash.  Organizer base is black card stock. Decorative paper is G45 Bird Song . Finished box measures 4-3/8" x 4-3/8" x 4-1/4" excluding the feet.

Day 1 LLC Camel Workshop - Thoughtful Critters Box

This project is from the La-la Land Crafts Carmel Workshop that was held in June 2018. Original design by Irina Blount. Project was using a white card stock base and Flamingo and Pineapple die cut images. My version of this box is using a brown card stock base with Washi paper from my stash for this Asian-ish theme. The brushed Gold card stock was supplied at the workshop.  Box finished size is 4-1/2" x 2" x 3".

Thoughtful Critters rubber stamp set used from La-la Land Crafts. The dies used: Lanterns, Nested Frames-Large, Nested Frames-Small, Lattice Corner, Postage Stamp
Fancy Pants sequin embellishments used as accents on the front and back as well as on the die cut Lantern.
