Year of the Sheep Calendar & Card

I got these two great surprises in the mail (so sorry for the late posting of it). It is from a very dear friend: Eunice.  Her blog is called A Star for Chiemi found here.  I always love getting these type of packages from her since they always are such creative projects. First, there is a 3-1/2" x 3-3/4" magnetic back calendar shown here. Isn't that sheep so cute? I recognize the paper: it is from My Little Shoebox - I also LOVE it!!!!
The second item received is a easel card. This size is 5-1/2" x 4-3/8". The sheep here is even more cute.  Want to see why? See the next photo:
 It's a wobble sheep............look at it go..............
Here's a closer look at the sheep with the embossing texture on it:

Asian Cork Crane Card

What a delight to receive this wonderful card from my blog friend Jan -she has a blog here.  This A2 size card is so cool. Background stamped using Judikins #33423 Chinese Clouds using light blue ink, then edged with blue metallic chisel pen (of course, how suble and wonderful is that?). The metallic pen makes such a fine faux mat. More details below:
Like the close-up of this Bamboo? It is a die from Joy Crafts  (die #60020230) using Green "silk" paper, then highlighted with shades of Copic markers. The crane is a die  called Oriental Crane Die (set #TL-ACD150) made by Tattered Lace cut in thin cork paper. Crane is popped up with foam squares.  Add a small adhesive blue rhinestone for the eye and it is perfect!
Water is using Hanko Cloud Die (#DD004) found here which is popped up found here using metallic paper and edged with blue metallic chisel pen. I love this look.
Card inside:
Love this detail on the inside: a small cork flourish
Thank you for stopping by today - try some die cutting using thin cork sheets. The results are pretty nice. Thank you, Jan for always being such an inspiration.

Mimi Sunshine Card

A quick post today: Don't you just love this cute card?  I got this from a friend who has a talent to use distress inks for coloring and pencils. It is a A2 size. Good job! The papers she selected really make this card along with the two tone colored twine.  I also love the details of the flowers, leaves and scallop mat.
Here's Mimi with her sunshine flower friends......she is stamped colored and popped with foam squares.......The scallop flower mat is also popped with foam squares.......ooops, this photo is out of focus (so sorry about that).
The bottom right corner has some decorative paper flowers. I recognize those die cut leaves - they are from La-la Land Crafts and can be found here.
Card Inside: Love the paper used. In case you were wondering, I received this cars with a separate removable post it note message. It was removed for this photo.
Thank you for stopping by today to visit.

Birthday Cake Candle Pop Out

It's always fun to receive a handmade card from friends who are so clever.  this one is a birthday card from Kris G. It is a cake withs a surprise. Finished card size is 5" x 7".
I'm not sure how she made this card, maybe using a cutter?  I love the multi color confetti on the shimmery white cake icing.
This birthday image was cut using the Silhouette and is from their on line store. i added this after I got the card.
Pull the center up to reveal "happy" (this is also cut using my Silhouette and is from their on line store) and also those cute whimsical candles.
Here's the candle on the right side:
The candle on the left side:
Isn't this the cutest card?  I love the pull out and pop out mechanism - I really need to figure out how this was made. It is soooo cute!!

Graphic 45 Bird Song Waterfall Folio

UPDATE: link to the Waterfall Folio You Tube Video tutorial is here.

Have you seen the You Tube video for this Waterfall Folio created by Ginger who has a blog www.mysistersscrapper.com. You will find this and many other versions of this waterfall folio. Her video is easy to follow so I really recommend you get on over there. Measurements and all other details are on her video so I will not duplicate this info here (she does a better job). For my folio, I chose to use the Graphic 45 Bird Song papers. The chipboard folio cover is using the Enlightenment paper.
A Chipboard mat from Graphic 45 Bird Song collection is attached on top of the Tranquility scene from the Graphic 45 Bird Song 8x8 assorted paper pack.
A chipboard tag is attached to the front bottom (and top right) frame with a glittered brad and foam squares.
Overhead view:
Folio open: Enlightment used for the inside folio.  Black card stock used as the base for the waterfall.  Alternating Graphic 45 Bird Song Enlightenment and Cherry Blossoms used for the mats.
Inside pocket has a Graphic 45 Bird Song chipboard tag with a metallic brad.
This are the items in the pocket: three tags and a booklet.
Tags are  made from the 12x12 Graphic 45 Bird Song Tranquility paper, mat in Black card stock. Crop-o-dile Scallop Corner Chomper used for the corners.  We R Memory Keepers keyhole punch used to thread the crumpled black rayon seam binding.
Here's the folio: Black card stock is used for the base. Graphic 45 Bird Song Cherry Blossom mat, then the scene from the 8x8 assorted paper pack: Jasmine Dream. Inside is using the Cherry Blossom mat. Use a 1/4" corner rounder on the corners.
Here are more photos of the waterfall:
Hope you enjoyed this version of Ginger's Waterfall folio and try one, too.
