Black & White Mini

I started with a basic 4" x 4" cut DSP and solid CS in the basic Black colors, using red as the accent: my favorite color combination! The acetate cover: oh that's from the packaging left over from the Big Shot dies....they are sturdy enough for this project. The DSP used is from the Day & Night DSP retired from the Holiday ;09 Mini ----I still have some.

Here's the front now finished with embellishments: The silk flower is adhered to the acetate front. The bird is adhered to the DSP front.

Side rings have a glass heart (who knows where this came from - it may even be 30 years old but I found it in my stash of bins). The red shoe: aw, it broke off my cell phone chain so I used it here. This project can always be completed using rings instead of o-wires.

There are 4 silk petals to make this flower along with a punched real red CS from the Boho Blossom Punch. Add a Black Brad to the center and the flower embellishment is complete. I ran out of silk flowers long ago from the Pretties kit so I got bridal floral silk flowers from your local craft store to use.

The bird is sponged with black ink:

Underside of the acetate: the brad holding the silk flower together is covered by using one of the smaller flowers from the Boho Blossom punch.

Tag in the right side pocket - use 1-1/2" circle punch at the top of the pocket opening: Note: trim the tag 1/2" off to fit into the pockets. Die cut butterflies are scattered through out the mini album.
