Dasher Tent Card

Project #3: Dasher Tent Card. This Dasher is the most popular SU stamp sold!!!! I can see why - everyone loves it! This card was inspired by a post on I Stamp by Nancy Riley (her site http://www.stampinat6213.blogspot.com/) back in 8/30/09. Check out her site because she has a fabulous weekly pick which will inspire you! I changed out the DSP and tweaked some of the measurements. Here's my version. Finished card is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

Back view:

How to make this card:
Measurements:
(1) 4-1/4” x 8-1/2”, score on the 8-1/2” side @ 4-1/4”
(1) 3-3/4” X 3-3/4” Old Olive CS
(1) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” Merry Moments Pine DSP
(1) Scallop Circle #2: Big Shot Die Cut in Old Olive
(1) 3-3/4” Circle in Real Red: Scissors Cut Plus
(1) 2-7/8” Very Vanilla Circle: Scissors
Cut Plus(2) 5” Real Red Grosgrain 5/8” wide Ribbon

This is what you should have:

Stamp Dasher and "Season's Greetings" using Craft Chocolate Chip ink. Add the clear embossing powder, heat. Note: I took my stamps off their wood blocks and applied to acrylic blocks (adding "cling" layer first for the acrylic block). SU will have this option as of January 4, 2010 so I thought I would get a head start.

Pierce the neck, add the Gold brad. Pierce around the Old Olive Scallop Circle.

Turn over: add dimensionals as shown.

To be sure your card will fit into an A2 envelope: position the Dasher stamped scallop circle on card, then measure to the 5-1/2" line on a ruler as shown. Adhere with sticky tape or Snail Adhesive.

Supplies:
  • Stamps: Dasher, Four the Holidays
  • CS: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Old Olive, Merry Moments Designer Series Paper
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft
  • Accys: Big Shot Scallop Circle #2 Die, Circle Scissor Plus, 5/8” Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Gold Brad, Piercer, Clear Embossing Powder, dimensionals, Sticky Tape

Thank you for stopping by today................see ya tom for Project #4
