Our Yahoo Group Punch Swap!!!! It is always a delight to receive since it is always a surprise. I made this Three Layer Cake with a Cherry on Top totally CASED from Kim Score (http://www.paperpunchaddition.blogspot.com/). I wanted to use solid CS so I used the wood Big Shot texturz plate for the cake sections. The Cherry has Crystal effects. White gel pen is used to highlight the layers.
Maya made this cute punched Asian set of dolls (she had my favorite colors in mind!!!!) Cute - cute - triple cute!!!

Cup Cake B'Day
This is the 5th and last project from the workshop: a generic b'day card. This is a result of not having any pink/brown DSP for my birthday card...........so stamping my own was the solution.
Close-up of Candle (add some bling!):
Here's an alternative cupcake "topping" (which is also included in the sweet scoop stamp set):
Close-up of the alternate card (add some bling):
To make this card:
(1) 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Pretty in Pink Solid CS
(1) 1-3/4" x 5-1/2" Very Vanilla Solid CS
(1) 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" Chocolate Chip Solid CS
(1) 2" x 2-1/2" Very Vanilla Solid CS (to stamp message)
(1) 2" x 3" Very Vanilla Solid CS for Cupcake Top
(1) 2" x 3" Crumb Cake (Kraft) Solid CS for Cupcake Bottom
(1) 6-1/2" long + (1) 2-1/2" long cut 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon
if candles are used:
(1) 1-1/2" x 1" Pretty in Pink Solid CS
(1) 1/2" x 1/2" So Saffron Solid CS
Punch both 5-1/4" sides. I start from the middle and work toward the sides.
Cut the cupcake top through the big shot, then emboss with the dot impression folder. Sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink, them apply dimensionals to the back. Set aside.
After cutting the Crumb Cake Cone, apply Crumb Cake ink to the Background 1 impression plate, put through the Big Shot, then add dimensional to the back. Set aside.
Using the cupcake image from Short & Sassy, randomly stamp with Chocolate chip and Pretty in Pink ink on the Vanilla card stock. The rest of this card is assembling and layering all the pieces.

Aviary Sweet Treat Double Slider
4th Project: I love sliders and saw this treat slider idea on Mary Jo Albright's site (2/4/09) and again on Allison's site (www.alliohran.blogspot.com posted 6/14/10) - so it was destiny, I had to try it..................finished project size is 3-1/4" x 1/2" x 3-1/2" and when all the tabs are pulled out the project is 3-1/4" x 1/2" x 9-3/4". No DSP with these colors.........stamped my own.
Pull down on the bottom tab.............if you pull the top tab, the popcorn is surprise you...........it will fall out.....(so that's why Allison made the pull tab on the side........dah me!).......but we all had so much fun picking up our popcorn!!!!
Top pullout with sweet treat cup:
Bottom pullout with message:
Here comes the fun part: adhere stamped Very Vanilla CS to the 6" x 3-1/2" Old Olive. Slide the 1-3/4" punch all the way in for the sweet treat cup. Punch through both layers.
On the other side of the 6" x 3-1/2" Old Olive piece, slide the 1" Circle Punch all the way in and punch out. This is where all the Popcorn will fall out!
Stamp the birds and message using Chocolate Chip ink:
Optional step: apply a thin coating of Tombow (too much glue will ooze out ..be careful). I forgot to add adhesive to my 2nd card, and it was fine since it was sandwiched between layers of CS.
Fold one of the So Saffron tabs in half and apply to the 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" Old Olive piece (note: the 2-1/4" is considered the "top"). Fill treat cup cavity with Popcorn. Apply sticky tape to edge and bottom as shown.
For the bottom section, (I am ANAL!!!!) Fold the 2nd So Saffron Round Tab in half. Use a pencil to lightly mark the bottom of the tab (see arrow):
Use the 1" x 7" clear plastic strip to wrap around the punched section loosely. Apply stick tape only on the clear plastic to connect - see arrow. Trim off any excess clear plastic at the top and underside that would be in the way of sliding. Position the connection to the bottom, apply another piece of Sticky tape. Remove backing, position the sweet treat cup section on top and press to secure.

Bottom pullout with message:
6" x 3-1/2", score @3" along the 6" side: this is the top slider
2-3/4" x 3" : this is the stamped background piece
3-1/2" x 11", Score along the 11" side @ 3", 3-1/2", 6-3/4", 7-1/4" 10-1/2": this is the card base
2-1/4" x 2-3/4": this is the pull up tab
3" x 3-1/4" :there will be one in So Saffron and one in Old Olive
(1) 3" x 3-1/4" So Saffron CS for the front
(1) 3" x 3-1/4" Old Olive for the Bottom Slider
(1) 6" x 3-1/2" for the Top Slider
(3) 2-3/4" x 3" Very Vanilla CS for the "background"
(1) 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" in Old Olive CS for the pull out tab
(2) Punched Round Tabs in So Saffron
(1) 1" x 7" Clear plastic strip (not in photo) - this will be the "slider"
Scrap Very Vanilla (not in Photo)
Separately stamp the Birdcage using Chocolate Chip ink on scrap Very Vanilla, stamp the owl in Certainly Celery, cut out and pop with dimensionals on the back.Randomly stamp Very Vanilla CS with the image from the Circle Circus stamp using Sahara Sand ink. Adhere the cut out cage with owl. Apply to the middle section of the Old Olive with adhesive.
Here comes the fun part: adhere stamped Very Vanilla CS to the 6" x 3-1/2" Old Olive. Slide the 1-3/4" punch all the way in for the sweet treat cup. Punch through both layers.

For the bottom section, (I am ANAL!!!!) Fold the 2nd So Saffron Round Tab in half. Use a pencil to lightly mark the bottom of the tab (see arrow):
Cut off the bottom part of the round tab so afterwards, the tab will MATCH the top section. (Skip this section if it doesn't matter to you). See arrow..............
On the last section (it's the one without the 1/2" lip), use the 1-1/4" punch, sliding about 1/4" into the edge. Note: this section is not the same width as the other twp sections so align the punch accordingly but punch the top and bottom to match.
Fold up this completed section, apply sticky tape to the top of the clear strip. Remove backing and place the bottom section FACE DOWN as shown - see arrow. Then adhere - be sure to match up to the sweet treat section before pressing down.
Last step: Single knot a small piece of Chocolate Chip grosgrain, attach to top of birdcage with a mini glue dot. Then remove the sticky tape from the 1/2" section, fold in, and secure onto the clear plastic section. See arrow.

Ice Cream Awning Card
The third project: an awning card. I absolutely LOVE this card - original design is from Lorri Heiling (www.stampingaddict.blogspot.com). Lorri's Art Contest Winner card was featured in the monthly Stampin' Up August 2010 magazine for Demonstrators. You can see why...............I did change the awning to a solid color and added the texture to the bottom "shelf.........hope Lorri doesn't mind. NOTE: this Sweet Scoop stamp set will retire after August 31,2010 from the Summer Mini so better get yours NOW.

Message is using the new Decorative Label punch available on September 1, 2010.
To make this card:
(1) 8-1/2" x 11" Very Vanilla Solid CS, score on the 11" side @4-1/4"
(1) 4-1/4" x 2" Pretty in Pink Solid CS for the awning, score on the 2" side @ 3/8", 1-1/4"
(1) 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" Crumb Cake Solid CS, emboss on the SU Exclusive Square Lattice Embossing Folder, fold over 1/2" on the 4-1/4" side.
(1) 5-1/2" long cut Striped Ribbon
(1) punched Decorative Label Extra Large in Pretty in Pink Solid CS
(1) message stamped in Very Vanilla CS, then punched using the Large Oval (not in photo)
After using the scallop boarder punch, score in between the scallops to make a vertical impression.
Using the ice cream stamp: stamp once in Crushed Curry, Pretty in Pink, and Chocolate Chip. Cut out.
Stamp "sprinkles" with craft white ink and allow to dry. (option: stamp Crushed Curry and Pretty in Pink scoops using Chocolate Chip ink - it will show up better!) Then pop each with a dimensional, later arrange on top of ice cream cones.
Use the Big Shot Square Lattice Embossing folder on the 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" Crumb Cake Sold CS, the fold over 1/2" across the 4-1/4" length. Use a pencil to mark on the folded edge as the placement guide for stamping the cones in Soft Suede ink. I made a template for everyone to use as a guide for the ice cream cones. They are a mirror image of the cones.
After stamping the cones, adhere the striped ribbon on the textured Kraft section and secure the Decorative Label punch with dimensionals on top of the ribbon. Lats step is to attach the awning and project is now complete. Everyone enjoyed making this card. You can see why.

Thank You Petal Punch Treat
The 2nd project made: little treats (and I mean little - smaller than "petite") treats are so quick and easy to make for any event. The finished project is 1-5/8" x 1 x 5/8".
Stamp the message on Whisper White.......ya gotta hand cut this out........(nope........no 1" Square punch!). Pop with a dimensional.
To make this box, you really only need (1) 3" x 5" piece of DSP, To maximize use of the stacks of DSP (You all know what I mean because we all have them): cut a 6" x6" in half to get (2) 3" x 6" pieces
With (10 3" x 6" DSP, you can get (2) pieces and enough left over to wrap around a nugget.....how perfect is that? Use Mini Glue dots 3 sides of one petal piece. Adhere to the 2nd punched petal.
See the pink arrow - Use the 1/8" hand held punch to punch hole for the elastic:
