Another Altered Purse Album

This altered purse is an improvement from the 1st one posted on this blog June 2, 2009: one of the changes made was the closure - I don't particularly like using Velcro. This flap closure is much more effective (it is 1-1/2" wide x 5-1/2" long). Yay - no Velcro! I also added some cool eyeglasses with "Bling". For this technique, refer to the original posting on June 2nd.

Here's the inside: The scallop pages are in Very vanilla and the accordion is using Pacific Point. The sunglasses are attached using embroidery floss.

The flowers are randomly stamped using Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss.

Another close-up of the scallop pages:

Here's how the sunglasses were made: Freehand draw the shape. Then transfer and cut out the eyeglasses. The eye piece is cut out separately. "Bling" is added to the corners.

This is how the eyeglasses are attached: with a mini glue dot, then tied to the purse handle.

Supplies:
  • Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
  • CS: Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Pacific Point, Black, Basic Grey
  • Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Versamark
  • Accys: Clear Embossing Powder, White Gel Pen, Mini Glue Dot, Sticky Tape, Bling (non SU), Chipboard Purse (non SU), Bone Folder, Black Embroidery Floss, Big Shot Scallop Circle Die

Thank you for stopping by today and have yourself a great restful weekend! xoxo............................
