Things I Love View Master

This style of "view master" is the simplest of 3 that were considered for this card. The 4 messages are revealed by turning the left side notches. 3 of the messages shown below:

And here is the last message on the wheel. Inside card shown: has Designer Paper trimmed along with a stamped heart in Rich Razzleberry.

Yes, I said easy - so here's the HOW TO:
Components to make this card (oops, forgot to add the 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" solid CS, too):

Prepare templates:
1. circle template: cut a 3-3/4" circle. Fold in half, then fold in half again to get 4 lines. Using a 1/4" Circle punch, punch in half way on every fold line. Using a 1-1/4" Circle Punch, punch evenly around as shown. Pierce the center of the circle.
2. card front template: this is to be used for the front. Place the circle template on top left of a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" CS. Using a pencil, lightly trace the the bottom circle. Then pierce the front CS matching the pierced hole from the circle template. Punch the 1-1/4" Circle Punch half way into the left side of the CS as shown in the photo below. NOW the front of the real card can be prepared.

Stamp "things I love" on to the Orchid Opulence CS, adhere to front. Then adhere Designer Paper.

Turn card over to reveal where to position the 1-1/4" punch.

The card front should now look like this:

Ready to make the wheel? Using the circle template:
  • Pierce center of CS
  • Use a pencil to lightly draw around the circles, erase after stamping images
  • Use 1/4" Circle Punch half way and punch all the fold lines from the template

Next, stamp the images as shown.

Wheel is ready. Push brad through the front of card. Place ribbon on top of brad and wrap around front of card. Cut another piece of grosgrain ribbon to tie a single knot. Place wheel as shown in photo below.

Last step: cut (1) piece of CS 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" to place on top inside card. Punch left side as shown. Avoid applying adhesive that would prevent the wheel from turning.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Things I love
  • CS: Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Orchid Opulence
  • Ink: Rich Razzleberry
  • Accys: 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1/4" Circle Hand Held Punch, Circle Scissor Plus, Piercer, 1/4" White Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Brad

Yes, it was easy, right? At my last workshop, we all got through this.......you will, too. Thank you for stopping by today................XOXO
