Asia Week: CD Folder Album

To make this album, Kraft CD Folders were used. They were purchased from a local art store here in San Francisco (Arch). There were a few options for the front cover: Two Embossed Butterflies, One Butterfly, Embossed Flowers. How about a photo?

Which one do you like? Here's what I ended up with: none of the ones listed. I used a embellishment from Articus Studio http://www.articusstudiodesign.com/ It's called "Asian Double Dragon Charm". The opening is 1-7/8" diameter.

Here's a close-up of the charm - Love it! It's attached using mini glue dots.

Page 1 with tags. Use Round Tab Punch on each color Red, Black, Naturals Ivory. Fold, then stamp with Flower.

Page 2, The insert is stamped in red and can be used for journaling or additional photo.

Page 3 and 4 (connecting the first CD Folder to the 2nd CD Folder). Random stamping using Encore Gold.

Page 5 and tags: Note each of tag "folds" are also randomly stamped with a flower.

Page 6, insert is in Real Red and stamped with Encore Gold

Pages 7 and 8 (connecting the 2nd CD Folder to the 3rd CD Folder)

Page 9, stamping is done using Encore Gold, Black and Real Red.

Page 10, this is the last page. The back of this album is solid black color.

Here is a top view of the completed album.

For a tutorial on how to make this CD Folder Album: see my tutorial posted on 3/2/09 for basic steps.

This is such a beautiful album using my favorite Stampin' Up set. I love the colors and the small tabs in between each page to give it so much more dimension.

Your right the double dragon does work the best but I do still like the double butterfly one as well. Probably because Great Friend is a favorite set of mine. I'll have to remember to check some of your favorite haunts the next time I find myself in San Francisco. Medford, Oregon is a little sparse on interesting Asain art stamps and art supplies in general.

Thanks for sharing the inspiration - Jean
