Lollypop Flower Pot Favor

Here are my version of these cute favors...........hmmm...they first showed up at my gal pal Whitney's site (http://www.whitney69@blogspot.com/) a few weeks back, then I made one as a shoebox swap (Denise W.) so I finally decide to include this project for a workshop. Here's what you need:

(1) 3" x3" Shades of Spring DSP for the smallest size Flower in the die

(2) 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" Lovely Lilac CS for the 2nd smallest size Flower in the die

(1) 2-3/4" x 1" Old Olive CS for the Flower Pot top

(1) 2-1/2" x 7-1/2" Close to Cocoa CS for the pot. Score along the 7-1/2" side, 3/4", 2-1/2", 1", 2-1/2", 3/4". To create the "pot" shape, cut 1/2" to nothing toward the top of the pot. (see photo of pot) - regretfully, not template photo this time.

(1) 2" x 2" Whisper White CS scrap for the center message, use 1-1/2" Circle Punch

(1) cut 6-1/2" long 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon

Use Old Olive and Lovely Lilac Stampin Write pens for the message, then punch using 1-1/2" Circle Punch. For the Real Red Flower Pot version, use Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write Pens.

After scoring the flower pit and cutting the shape, use the texture plate:

Use Scallop trim boarder punch for one side of the Old Olive CS as shown:

Pierce each side of the pot about 1/2" from the edge, apply the brad. Prong side will be the front and brad side will be the back.

Add sticky tape for the scallop pot top to cover the brad legs. Use pop up glue dot for the back large Lovely Lilac flower.

Apply one more pop up glue dot on top of the lolly pop stick. Place the 2nd Lovely Lilac Flower, then apply the Shades of Spring DSP with another pop-up glue dot, then another glue dot or dimensional for the message. Project complete.

Mother's Day Slider Card

Here's a slider card for Mother's Day. This style of card has previously been posted:

This card was a special request for a workshop...........glad to accommodate. It turned out great. There are both Card stock embossed Butterflies as well as Vellum Card Stock Butterflies on this card.

Pull the round tab with the butterflies to reveal the message: sweet!

Here's what is needed to make this card:
(1) 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Pretty in Pink CS. On the 8-1/2" side, score 1/2", 4-1/2". You will be left with 4"
(1) 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Whisper White CS for the inside Top Note
(1) 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Sending Love DSP for the outside Top Note
(1) 3" x 3" scrap Whisper White for the Message to be stamped and punched with the Extra Fancy Flower Punch
(1) 2" x 2-1/2" Whisper White to cut the Butterflies
(1) 2" x 2-1/2" Card Stock Vellum to cut the Butterflies
(2) Pretty in Pink CS punched word windows (not in photo)
(1) Pretty in Pink CS punched tab: using the Round Tab Punch (not in photo)

Center the top note, cut 1/2" from the top down to 1/2" away from the bottom

Position the Pretty in Pink CS 2-1/2" in toward the right. Cut 3/4" down from the top and stop 3/4" away from the bottom edge.

Punch top edge with the Round Tab punch as shown:

Inside card: mark the center of the card, then mark 1-1/2" away from the bottom. This measurement will differ from previous posts because of the outside image. Note: adjustment needs to be made for different images. Apply sticky tape to both sides of the punched round tab as shown.

Fold each word window in half. Apply sticky tape to ONLY ONE HALF side of each word window. Remove the sticky tape to position one of the word window on the line. Place the second word window exactly above the first one but opposite sticky halves. You will have 2 "wings" as shown.

Slip the "wings" though the Pretty in Pink Card Front as shown. Note: Pretty in Pink CS was used instead of Whisper White because the color card stock is slightly heavier.

Apply snail adhesive to the back of the Sending Love DSP Top Note. Slip the "wings" through and push down on the snail to adhere to the card front. Add (2) dimensionals as shown to each of the "wings". Do not obstruct the fold line, otherwise the message will not slide.

Pull the inside card up. This will let you know how much room there is to stamp the inside message.

Add the front message, butterflies on the card front, on the round tab. Lastly, remove the side sticky tape and close. Your project is complete.

House Milk Cartons

The Milk Carton die can also be a House, too. I made one of these a couple weeks ago but had not made the tutorial for it. So, a couple more homes sprung up. The homes have their own landscaping around the house. This exclusive die from SU is so cute and great for little gifts to give. These homes are sitting on a bed of Old Olive Designer Series Pattern Paper.....looks like grass! I have a read picket fence (not a white one) around the homes.

Supplies needed for this project

(1) Milk carton die

(1) 4" x 2" Close to Cocoa CS for the roof, score 1/2" along the 2" side.

(1) Close to Cocoa CS punched Scallop Oval

(1) Very Vanilla CS punched 1/2" circle for the window

(1/2) Very Vanilla CS punched 1/2" circle for the window in the rafter

Left Photo: Make crisp folds. Apply sticky tape to the milk carton extension. Cut off the left flap as shown. Do not discard. Measure 1" , score 1/2", discard balance.

Right Photo: Use this piece for the 2nd flap from the right. Apply sticky tape to the flap and adhere.

Left Photo: this is ho the flap looks like after the "extension" is added. Set aside.

Right Photo: Cut off 3/4" of the oval scallop. Keep the top half - this will be the front door.

Left Photo: Sponge the Oval Scallop and also the Very Vanilla Circles

Right Photo: Using a Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Pen, draw (2) vertical lines and doors for the door knobs.

Left Photo: to make the roof - put through crimper

Right Photo: Use scallop boarder punch along both 2" sides. Fold roof in half. At the 1/4" roof overhang, clip out 1/8" to "0" at the center to allow the roof to fold to make a "mountain" shape.

Left Photo: Sponge roof with Close to Cocoa. Set aside.

Right photo: Stamp Trees using Old olive ink. Use the cling tree stamps set side by side on the acrylic block which is perfectly spaced between the fold lines of the milk carton.

Left Photo: Stamp the same trees on the milk carton using Close to Cocoa ink (for the trunks - right?) Then apply dimensionals.The stamped tree tops are to cut out and placed on top of the trees.

Right photo: Assemble the carton sides. Add sticky tape right above the carton fold line to each side for the roof. Apply the roof top one side at a time. Add one mini glue dot to the front center of the roof at the 1/4" overhang. Your project is now complete. Optional: Add a butterfly to the roof, attach using a mini glue dot.

Rice Bowl & Chopsticks

Ya like this one???.....more use of uncooked rice!!! I love the matching chopstick holder. This card is in my favorite colors!!! A simple card to make and fun to assemble. Finished card size: 4-1/2" x 5-1/2.

To make this card:
(1)5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Real Red CS, score on 8-1/2" side @ 4-1/4"
(1) 4-1/4" x 3" Gold CS
(1) 4" x 2-3/4" Black CS
(1) Real Red CS Wide Oval
(1) Real Red CS Word Window
(1) Real Red CS 2" x 1-1/4"
(2) Round Toothpicks
small amount of uncooked Rice.

Use Ticket Corner Punch on all corners of the Black CS and Gold CS layer. Adhere Black CS to Gold, then pop with dimensionals on to card front.

To make rice bowl, use scissors to cut shape. Trim bowl bottom to finish about 1" in length.

After Stamping the Bowl and chopstick holder, apply dimensionals to the bowl. Fold chopstick holder in half and expose one corner as shown. Apply sticky tape to the chopstick holder. Trim the toothpicks to fit the holder.

Use a layer of Crystal Effects to adhere the uncooked rice:

To make the small tag: Stamp "friends", then use 1/16" circle Punch, then punch out tag with the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch from the Occasions Mini. Thread through chopstick and tie a small bow.
