I was lucky enough to snatch up a couple of the smaller sized specially shaped 3D Trinket boxes at a recent Scrapbook Expo (these boxes are being released for purchase at the end of April 2014)- I had to finish up my other projects in order to work on this project. Of course, I made it using La-la Land Crafts Kimono Marci with Fan found here in their store. La-la Land Crafts dies used:Rolled Roses die, Large Rolled Rose die, Large Flourish die, Bridge Die all found here. All die cut pieces are lightly sponged with brown ink. Decorative paper is from My Little Shoebox - Cherry delight/Serenade. Solid Brown paper is Bazzil and Kraft paper is Recollections. Copic E27 used to color the box front edge. Finished project measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" high.
Copic colors: E11, E00, E000, R20, W2, W4, W6, W8, E27, E23 , R81, R83, R85
A Pearl Viva Pen is used on the fan and around the scallop. EK Success Butterfly triple stacking punch used with a natural color button from my stash with some natural twine.
Diamond Stickles are dusted on the rolled roses. Wood background stamp using brown ink on the Bridge die. 3 layers of the bridge are die cut, then attached together so it is quite sturdy and thick. Two layers of the Large Flourish die are die cut, then attached together, edges inked, so they are also quite sturdy.
Box top images are popped with foam squares. A Pearl Viva Pen is used on the hinge. This hinge was left over from another project. Hearts were hand cut. Hinged used Copic E27 to color.
Trinket Box inside:
I am lucky to have a handy man around: those feet are from a 1/2" wide dowel, cut 3/8" high, painted in acrylic brown, then attached using Beacons's Fabric-Tac.
Thank you for coming by to visit today and I hope you enjoyed this project.
