Another Asian Thank You Card

Well, the birthday party may  be over but now the Thank You cards need to go out. Here's the first batch which will go to some of the family members.  Masculine Washi paper is used (no flowers, please) for this card. SU Ballet Blue and SU Night of Navy card stock used for the main card.  Avery adhesive sticker was placed behind the Washi paper so I can cut the 3" circle using my Silhouette. Yup, in order to make this card, the circle had to be in line with the 2-3/4" SU Ballet Blue mat and SU 3" circle in the Night of Navy card.  Not sure if I could have lined it up manually..............it was much easier for me to do on my computer cutting mat and then push a button to cut!!! Yippee for SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot computer program). Corner punch also used to secure the silver cord around the Washi mat.
Here's a closer look at the Kanji word for Thank You........got the SVG cut file from Under a Cherry Tree (Jin Yong) - it was FREE and I have used it quite a bit.  Since the word is floating in air (it's adhered onto acetate), a background was made using SCAL computer program:
The word "thanks" was using SCAL, too - using the font on my computer as well as making a back mat: perfect!
Open the card, to reveal the inside cover. The back mat does cover up the adhesive:
And the whole inside card. Be sure to use up even small scraps of any Washi paper:
Here's a closer look at the stamped message using the Papertrey Ink's Thanks All Ways stamp set: simple (and that's the way Rick likes it)
Like it?
