Peeking Poinsettia card

The fifth card from the Merry and Bright Collection from using the SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program to cut all the pieces . You are just going to love the cards that will be posted...........especially a couple more with poinsettias. I've seen a lot of poinsettias both as stamps and as dies, the ones in the Merry and Bright Collection are the very best!!! They are so realistic! The pink contrast adds a pop of color to the card. The DSP is a retired frm SU that I've just gotta use.........along with many other SU SAB 6x6 packs..........which have been used here. Finished card size: 5-1/8" x 7".....and, of course, an envelope is included as a cut file in the collection.

Is this the most beautiful Poinsettia you have ever seen? It is all cut using the SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) program. Sponge edges of the leaves and the DSP with Close to Cocoa ink. The leaf shapes are so realistic and by adding the DSP to each edge, the poinsettia is even more dramatic. Each layer of the poinsettia is popped with dimensionals. The final touch: Yellow Stickles!!!!

Emboss the leaf, sponge edges with Close to Cocoa ink, then adhere the Old Olive DSP (also sponged with Close to Cocoa ink) using a 2 way Glue Pen.

Card inside: sponge the edges of the vanilla card stock with Close to Cocoa ink.

Did you like this one?

  • CS: Pink and Red Paper Company, SU Old Olive, SU Riding Hood Red, Recollections Vanilla, Misc. DSP

  • Ink: Close to Cocoa

  • Accys: Cuttlebug Swirl Embossing Folder, Sponge Dauber, 2 way Glue Pen, Yellow Stickles, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by.....................more cards coming.........................

I just love poinsettias, and this one is great with the half-embossed, half pattern paper leaves. Beautiful work, Patti!

Awesome card. The poinsetta came out very very cute. I like that newsprint in the background.
