Matchbox Week: Teapot Matchbox

Using the Exclusive Stampin-Up Matchbox Bigz XL Die, the tea pot was a snap to make. Matchbox Messages was used from the Occasions Mini catalogue for the cover . Love the white embossing powder! The tea bag will fit into the box if the packaging is removed. This is my monthly swap that has been sent out: are you one of the lucky girls?

Below is the un-assembled Teapot Matchbox. To make the lid:
-punch (2) large ovals + (1) 1/4" circle.
-The width of the box is a maximum of 3/4" so each large oval needs to be scored 3/8" (lengthwise)
-Apply adhesive to large ovals, sandwiching 1/4" circle in between at the "top".
-Position completed lid on top of "tea pot".

Below is how the "handle" and "spout" are positioned. The "spout" is hand drawn. The handles are made by using two oval punches: Small and large oval punch.

Here is a close-up of how the lid is to be positioned.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps: Matchbox Messages
  • CS: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Accys: Matchbox Bigz XL Die, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch or Crop-o-dile, White Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Round Tab Punch, Dimensionals, Sticky Tape.

Thank you for stopping by. Stay tuned for more matchboxes this week............your comments are appreciated.
