Scrapbook Expo Make & Takes

At the recent Santa Clara Expo  (August 9, 2013) - I was fortunate to be able to do some FREE Make and Takes.  Here are a couple of the cool ones:

La-La Land Crafts: Size is 4" x 4" . Box is a "paper board, not chipboard. The sides connect like "dove tail" drawer construction. The paper used is from Graphic 45 their Kraft Collection.  All the paper pieces had been cut, including the circle which was sponged and the stamped image in the center (also sponged).  All we had to do is assemble: cool, eh?  Irina is the creator, owner, Designer of this company: her blog La-la Land Crafts found hereGears and Leaves are die cuts that are available from her shop at La-la Land Crafts. Yup, she even stamped on the message on the banner for us. Cool, eh? So go to visit Irina's store and sign up for her upcoming retreat in October in Pacifica, California if you are in the neighborhood!
Here's the flap opened to show the box inside which can be filled with treats or note cards. I actually took it apart when I got home to sponge the edges.
Another make and take at Expo was a Corset using Want 2 Scrap laser cut dress form and their Adhesive Rhinestones: This make and take was taught by Lorraine Ungeheier who represents Scrapbook Expo events (lorraine@scrapbookexpo.com). Now this was a great teacher - so much fun!!! The original make and take had us dry brush acrylic white paint onto the laser cut corset pieces.  This is my finished make and take from Scrapbook Expo with the adhesive silver and black rhinestones.
I decided to paint the corset back with black acrylic and the top corset with red acrylic. i did keep the same adhesive rhinestones.  The look is a little different but more what I prefer. What do you think?
Here's a closer look (not sure why the photo show it as a orange color - it is red):
It was fun to see all the various companies at the Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo this year.  I will be looking forward to the next one in November 2013 in Sacramento, California.
