Button Farm Christmas Journal

I got this beautiful Button Farm Christmas Journal Kit at a scrap all day event a couple months ago - it's time to complete it. It is a perfect journal for the 25 days prior to Christmas.  I had to be sure there were enough spots for both journaling as well as photos taken. This album is 7" x 9". The binder (Brag Book from Fancy Pants Designs) consists of 60 pages, 15 -2 photo sleeves and 15 pocket pages..........I was able to remove about 7 of the photos sleeves and pocket pages along with un-needed journaling pages.  All the pages and cut elements have been sponged with brown ink.  The gorgeous green iridescent wire ribbon is a perfect accent holding the metal key in front of the red glittered Christmas Tree.
I also applied red stickles to words: "JOY"
See the tree and "25" with red stickles, too:
Inside cover: the Merry Bingo card is removable, it opens like a card for additional photos and journalling. Wherever I could, I added little "pockets" to be able to slip little mementos. The right side has a post card which is only attached on two sides.
Two journalling pages are glued together so they can be more sturdy (original journaling page is the weight of copy paper: a bit thin). The formula for this book is the same throughout......two journaling pages, embellish with tags on the backside, then a 2 photo sleeve page, then a pocket page.  In the many photos below, you will see how some of the pages have been embellished with the decorative paper (by Simple Stories). The photos are self explanatory and will give you an idea how easily this album was completed.
Here's the first of the 2-photo sleeve with cut tags that can easily be removed and replaced with a photo.
Here's the first of the pocket pages where additional journaling and photos can be kept.
So now the format will be repeating itself....................at the end of the day, I had 14 journaling pages, 8 two photo sleeve pages, and 7 pockets...........plenty!
Note, I have used one of the journaling pages to slip into the pocket.
On some of the pages (left side on this photo), some of the tags were made into little cards that open up for photos or journaling
so I skipped to the inside back cover with the message:  merry Christmas to you!
This was a great project and I can't wait to fill it..........................

Another amazing album, Patti! Wow, so many pages, and each one beautifully embellished and decorated. Love the vintage look on this...that bow on the cover is fabulous!
