A Surprise Birthday Potluck.............

No paper project today.well, maybe just a small one: a recipe card. This weekend was a grand potluck B'day for a special friend. I chose this new recipe to try: Veggie Bites served on a red plastic tray. There is a combination of sour cream, ranch mix and mayo on top of the Crescent Roll "base" for the vegetables to sit on. Nothing is more colorful than fresh vegetables............looks pretty, too. A hit at the party!

Along with this dish, a recipe card and small stand was included for the birthday girl. The recipe itself was printed on computer paper, then matted with Really Rust, Summer Sun. The fork and knife are McGill Punches (boy, they are "ancient" but in my stash of miscellaneous appropriate is this.............

Here's a close-up of the fun part of the recipe card:

  • Stamps: Just Rite Recipe Set (1-3/16)

  • CS: SU Really Rust, SU Summer Sun, White, SU Brushed Silver

  • Ink: Really Rust

  • Others: Just Rite 1-3/16 Wood Stamper, SU Scallop Circle Punch, SU 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/2" SU Circle Punch, McGill Fork & Knife Punch, Dimensionals

Thank you for stopping by today ........................

Yum...looks DELISH! OMG, Patti, do you really embellish all your recipe cards too? You are my HERO! Only you would make veggie bars and have them turn out so pretty. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I'd like to try this at our next party, but don't think mine will turn out half as attractive as yours! BTW, recipe calls for cream cheese, did you use sour cream instead?
