Day 1 LLC Hinged Holiday Box

Finally posting the first of 22 projects from the 2017 Retreat.  All projects from the retreat are now completed.  Original Design by Irina Blount as a Hinged Pineapple Box. My version of this project is a Hinged Holiday Box using Holiday papers from my stash. No stamps were used for this project.

La-la Land Crafts dies used: Stitched Gift Card Slots, Deco Border, Deco Corner Stitched Nested Circles Double Stitched Nested Circles, and Pine Bough die (used for the top of the box).  All dies can be found in the on line crafts tore found here. Finished project size: 7" x 7" x 4".
Here's the lid: the Deco Corner dies blend perfectly by using the same card stock. The Stitched Gift Card Slots make a great embellishment accent.
A closer look at the center of the lid.  Use Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the Pine Bough. Pop two of the pine cones with foam squares. This center square is popped with foam squares.
A closer look at the Deco Corners:
On the lid bottom, the Decor Border die used as an accent along with a metal trim and gold adhesive dot.
Box front: A trio of circles and the Deco Border die with another metal  trim and adhesive gold dot.
Side view of the lid: the green card stock layer is popped with foam squares. A layer of wood grain paper, solid green card stock, and wrapped black card stock over shipboard make the lid sturdy.
Side of box has a trio of circles and a metal pull.
Metal feet at each box corner.
Open the lid to reveal vintage paper covering the inside lid and box.
Here's a closer look at lid metal hinge:
This was a great project to adapt to using papers from my stash.  Hope this will inspire you to make something similar.
