Completed RAK Kits

Yay! I finished the RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) from Lianne/Cute Stuff posted previously on my blog on 4/2/2013.  Here they are side by side with the original:
First up: the House..........oh so cute! Finished house size is 2-1/2" x 3-1/4".
This one is with a small dog (stamp from Dandelion Designs) peeking out the window waiting for his master to return! Stamped flowers and flower pot are popped with foam squares. Images are from Dandelion Designs. I love the dotted paper Lianne/Cute Stuff used for this project.
Second project: Floating Angel
It's not Christmas but it sure is cute so it doesn't matter.  The finished box size is 2-1/2" x 1" x 1-1/2". See how versatile this project template can be a calendar holder or a special gift for an Angel.
update: note the Angel is attached to a narrow strip of acetate to help her "float".
The drawer pulls out so it can be filled with sweets or something like paper clips. I used a white button adhered using a mini glue dot. I love how the ribbon  is around the top of the box.
A closer look at the Angel - she is all glittery (Thank you Lianne for doing this for me!!!)
Third and last project: Box with Flip flops
The sample and my project are pretty similar, eh? Finished project size is 4" x 4" x 1".
I used my own stamped image for this project and it worked fine.  Added the Stickles and it turned out great. For the stem and leaves, I used the left over trimmings from the kit to hand cut them. Edges are sponged. The (punched) grass is also left over  from another project I made.
Inside: flip-flops!!!! so cute!!!! There's actually room in the box for a piece of chocolate square graham cracker.......couldn't find one quick enough.
Cute projects, eh? So if you are interested in getting any of the above kits or similar kits, contact Lianne at Cute Stuff at the following:

Easter Bunny Pop Up Card

Here's a quick Easter card made with the Silhouette Pop Up Bunny (from their on line store for 99 cents!!!!!!: finished size is 5-1/2"  x 5-1/2". card bade is using SU Melon Mambo, Mat is Recollections Pink, Print paper is K & Company Berry Sweet (it is shimmery paper). Green 5/8" Organdy Ribbon is from  my stash.
The rabbit here is the same image used in the inside of the card but is made larger for the card front. I added black card stock behind the eyes and also one of the cut out butterflies from the card inside with a small adhesive pearl. The larger grass is a Impression Obsession die #DIE038-J cut in Recollections Green. Stamped message is from SU Well Scripted stamp set. And, yes, the rabbit is popped with foam squares.

Card inside: so cool! Don't you  just  love how the flower plant holder pops out?  I should have made it a solid contrast color so it shows up better.  Inside butterflies also have adhesive pearls.
Here's a overview of the card:
And those yummy tulip flowers in Pink, Yellow, and white:
Here's the bunny (popped with foam squares and has a tied green organdy ribbon around his neck)

There is one butterfly where the wings are cut out shown here, it is meant to flip out when the card is opened.
Here's a view of the card from the underside:

So didn't you think this was cute, quick and easy?

It's always soooo nice to receive RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) in the mail - a wonderful and happy package arrived and in it contained some really fun things from my friend Lianne who has a retail shop in Oahu called CUTE STUFF............you just gotta check her store out when you visit the island of Hawaii.  It is packed, and I mean packed with so much inspiration and happiness. When I opened the package, I felt like some of the store happiness (it's the Aloha spirit) had also arrived!!!! I'm always in awe of all her frequent Make and Takes.  Did I also mention she sells kits in her shop for the Make and Takes, too? I got 3 kits shown here which I will be happily work on along with a 3 sample 3d's........I know Lianne's detailed instructions are very clear to complete the project. Each kit also comes with template so future projects can be made. There's a small house, a box with an Angel and a box holding a pair of flip-flops..............more photos below:
This is the calendar 3D with a cute strawberry - LOVE the strawberry paper, too............yeek - gotta get that!!!! And there is a drawer that pulls out on the side, too.So cute. The kit I got is called Floating Angel box card (I'll post this later when I finish the kit).

The grass and eggs are simply adorable. The kit I received is called Dandelion Designs Little House - soooo absolutely  cute! My kit has a adorable dog that will be peeking out of the window (I will post it later).

Year of the Rooster Sister Stamps

Sister Stamps Zodiac hop Day 2 for Release #12: Year of the Dog and Year of the Rooster.  Card style chosen for this release is a Circle Flip Card. The template for this card is from the Silhouette On Line Store for 99 cents! There are dies with this card style readily available, too if you do not own a Silhouette. Finished card size is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

I would like to give a shout out to Debbie, at the Paper Pulse Blog. She is a incredible wizard at using the Silhouette computer program.  She took a straight image I had and wrap it around in a circle. The image used is around the Rooster. Watch her You Tube video here to learn how. Clap, clap, clap, happy, happy!!!Cool, eh?
Stamp the Rooster twice, then pop with foam squares. Copics used W-1, R89, R46, YR04, YR07
Rooster Kanji word is cut using SCAL, then popped with foam squares.
Card fully opened: message is computer generated. Corners are also cut using my SCAL program SVG cut file. I have used these corners a lot in my Asian cards.
 Overhead view:
Items used to make this card:

Apply foam squares only to the back of the front circle and Kanji word.  Corners shown with gold brads in the corner.
In order to emboss the entire card, chose a pattern that has not distinctive front or back. Fold the card in half and position through embossing machine.
Card stock: Recollections Red, recollection Gold Metallic, Neenah White, Black
Accys: Cuttlebug Asian Embossing Folder, Small Gold Brads, !/4" Gold Organdy Ribbon, Foam Squares

Year of the Dog Sister Stamps

Hi Everyone, I am very excited to again participate in the Sister Stamps Zodiac hop for Release #12: Year of the Dog and Year of the Rooster. The card style I chose is a Double Slider card. Instruction to make this card can be found here on Split Coast Stampers tutorial site. I changed the measurements to accommodate the card and the specific tabs one each side. this card will fit into a A2 envelope as finished measurements are 3-1/2" x 5-1/2".
Copic colors used:  E27, E31, E34, W5, W7, R81, R30, R59, R46
Here's a side view of the dog where part of the body is popped with foam squares:
The Dog Kanji word is something found on the Internet, imported into SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) and cut using my Silhouette.
When the side tabs are pulled, the computer generated message is revealed on both sides:
The template:
Optional: cut 4-1/4" x 10-7/8 to get 2 cards from one A2 (8-1/2" x 11") sheet of paper.

Items to complete this card:
Note: EK Success Modern Cube punch was used to originally make the punched black decoration images. But to make the strip fit across the 4-1/2" length, I recreated it in SCAL so the size can be more flexible. In fact, only one of the squares cut 2" x 2" was used for the Dog Kanji word (card stock changed from Brown to Cherry Cobler).  The side tabs were also created using half of the cube by using the SCAL program.
Card stock: SU Cherry Cobbler, Recollections Gold Metallic, Recollections Vanilla, Black, Neenah White, SU Old Olive
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Accys: Impression Obsession Grass DIE060-I die, Lifestyle Crafts Sequence Embossing Folder, SU Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon, Foam Squares, 1-1/4" Square Punch

Stay tuned tomorrow for the Year of the Rooster image being released at this same time as the Year of the Dog on April 1st.. Hope you enjoyed this project. Happy crafting to all of you.
