Here's what the suitcase looks like before all the transformation: It looked pretty good already but not really fitting a Asian theme. This suitcase was purchased from a Local discount store.
Here's the inside:
First sand any wood areas with fine sanding paper. Clean, Then. paint wood areas with Black acrylic paint. The areas that are Vinyl can easily take the paint. Set aside to allow to dry.
Don't forget to paint the inside, too. I am planning to line the inside with fabric so no need for paint here.
Carefully plan on CS - be careful, they are right side up and very specific since each section is not exactly even.
Move each section together (like a puzzle) Stamp in one direction using Black ink: the bamboo image from Embrace Life:

Now stamp any Asian image, using Versamark ink - also stamp in one direction. Apply Gold Embossing powder and heat to see the magic:
OK - after painting on Black acrylic - it is SO flat - I dug out some household clear Varathane: worked like a charm for that slight smooth sheen.
For the stamped panels: apply adhesive to the panel, then apply adhesive to the edges of the paper to ensure panel will "stick" down. Note: make sure the panels are repositioned in the same direction as marked.
SU Supplies:
- Stamps: Embrace Life, Asian Image (unknown)
- CS: Real Read
- Ink: Black, Versamark
- Accys: Gold Embossing Powder, Black Acrylic Paint ( non SU)
So stay tuned for Part 2 of this project..............see ya tom!!!
