Ola -are you ready for a cute project? This one is a cute 4" x 4" Trinket Box from La-la Land Crafts found here. The SVG cut image for Mary Engelbreit is from My Scrap Chick and the Scottie Dog Design ID #42390 is from the on line Silhouette Store. I added the posie (from My Scrap Chick) to the bow on the Scottie Dog. paper used is mostly from my stash which consist of Recollections assorted paper packs and Stampin-Up.
Here's a better look at M.E.: You can't miss those unmistakeably red eye glasses (I LOVE them) and that blonde short hair. I used the Stampin-Up Basket weave embossing folder to add some texture to the hat. The brim of the hat, her face, her hair, and collar are popped with foam squares. She has a slight blush on her cheeks made using chalk.
But wait, M.E. is not just on top of the box, she is an easel top with a computer printed message. the sentiment is part of the SVG file from My Scrap Chick.....cool, eh? I learned how to make one of these type of easel 3D Trinket Boxes from the La-la Land Craft 3 day retreat last year - previous post for a similar project found here. Use the Making Memories 1/4" Corner Punch as shown.Side easel view:
M.E.'s hat has assorted flowers, edges inked, popped with foam squares on top of the black rim. The cherries used a white gel pen for "shine". Hat, flower center, and hair are lightly inked using Stampin-Up Dusty Durango. All other images are dusted using brown ink.
Here's a closer look at the embellishing on the trinket box sides:
More.................open the box to reveal........................
Fully open the box to see the inside cover is decorated with the signature flower and a punched zig zag (EK Success Zig Zag punch):
There are a total of 6 note cards and envelopes. Each of the messages are part of the SVG cut file that can be printed.
Here are the note card details:
The Scottie Dog is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" which is the perfect A2 card size. Cuttlebug Dots embossing folder used on the dog, then popped with foam squares.
Inside is a stamped message. Stamp used is from Hero Arts Decorate Your Own Cake. I did end up coloring the posie after I took the photo.
Lastly, The bottom side of the box has 4 painted wooden plugs used for feet.
Thank you for stopping by today to visit.
