Happy New Year Lucky Cat Card

Inspiration for this card is posted in the gallery of Mama Elephant's site found here .  I loved it so much as is, the only thing I changed was the stamped message.  Mama Elephant Lunar Extras stamp and die set used for this card. It is a A2 size card. The stamp set can be found here. I can't believe I made a white card. Usually I make cards in colors but this one turned out pretty nice in white card stock. The images are stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink, clear embossing powder used  for a more intense result. Oh yes, did I mention this is a shaker card?  A 3" Spellbinders circle die is used to make the area for the show. Position clear acetate behind the circle, then add some pink sequins and sparkle glitter flakes and foam tape for a great effect.
You can see the glitter flakes and pink sequins more clearly in this photo.

Lunar Animals Wishing You Good Fortune for 2016

Feels like I simply skipped the holidays and moved onto the upcoming lunar celebration: It will be the Year of the Monkey starting on February 8, 2016. My inspiration for this card is posted in the gallery of Mama Elephant's site found here .  The Mama Elephant Lunar Animals and Mama Elephant Lunar Extra stamp and die sets were used for this card. It is a A2 size card.  These stamp sets can be found here. Card base is White card stock.  There is a popped up Gold Mat, then a cloud pattern paper. The cloud pattern paper is from my stash - I thought I would never use this paper but it sure came in handy.  The mountains were made using a Silhouette file (Mountains by Hero Arts Design #29821) .  I stamped some "texture" using a retired stamp from Stampin-Up called Itty Bitty Backgrounds. Those hills? They are from Lawn Fawn #LF772 Stitched Hillside Borders
Here's a closer look at those Lunar animals: I chose the Pig and the Tiger which are popped with foam squares.  The images are first stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then a clear embossing powder is applied for more intensity. Having the dies for these animals makes it a breeze to die cut.
Copic colors used:
Pig: R00, R02, R22, R24
Tiger: YR24, YR23, YR21, R29
The Cherry Blossom Branch is from the Lunar Extras stamp set from Mama Elephant.  It is stamped using Versafine Black Onyx ink, then a clear embossing powder is applied. Pop it with foam squares after die cutting. The Asian Character, part of the Lunar Extras stamp set, is also stamped using Versafine Black Onyx ink with a clear embossing powder, then popped with foam squares.
Copic colors used:
Branch: E35, E37, E39
Flowers: R00, R20
Leaves: YG25, YG95
Hope you enjoyed this card and will make one, too. Have a great crafty day.

2015 Cookie Exchange Album

This album is the same format as previous post on 12/11/2015 Disney Memories Mini Album. As previously mentioned, instructions for this album can be purchased from Cristi Maron in her Etsy shop found here.  Her blog site is called Paper Hoarder Disorder found here. Her assembly video on You Tube is easy to follow and very informative with lots of tips and tricks of assembly. There are lots of photos of this 6 page album - lots of pages that flip up, flip out, open here, open there, pull out here, pull out there.  The library pockets are slightly wider in this album than the original.  All  pages and embellishments have been lightly sponged using brown ink.  Due to the long list of supplies used and amount of photos on this post, details will be listed at the end of this post.
The glitter cover paper used was so pretty, a simple embellishment title made using the Silhouette.
Spine decoration:
Overhead view:
Inside front cover: Gingerbread edge punch for the pocket and a removable booklet.
Page 1: Spoon embellishment on the side pocket with a removable booklet complimenting the glitter cups paper used for the mat. The cup on the booklet is white glitter paper.  This is the perfect introduction for this event as we always have some appetizer and beverages prior to the cookie exchange.
Page 2: Flip page with the words: enjoy cut using the Silhouette
Flip up the page to reveal:

Flip over the pocket tag to reveal a page with a pocket and removable booklet. Note the flipped pocket tag also has a small pocket - it the holly paper.

Page 6:  Love this page - it is another flip page
Flip the page over to the left to reveal a pocket page with a removable booklet.

Fun Interactive Cards from Hawaii

A few months back, I had the pleasure to meet a new creative friend while in Hawaii name Lori Nasu.  Lori has been creating cards for many many years and is quite experienced with paper crafting.  She is a Stampin-Up demonstrator if you would like to purchase some of their products or contact her for a workshop.  We made these three cards shown: (from left to right) a Polaroid Camera Card, Corner Fold Card and Pull and Stand Up Card.  All three are A2 size cards.
First up: the Polaroid Camera Card:  Love the splatter background.  All products used here are from Stampin-Up.
Punched Glitter card stock mat is pretty cool:
Pull down the front "photo" to reveal a bear with a birthday cake (note: this bear is not a Stampin-Up product).
Open the card to reveal a stamped message:
Second card is the Corner Fold Card: I love how this was made - pretty clever to cut then fold down a corner to achieve this look.
Here's a closer look at the Birthday Bear image with some glitter added to the cake icing - so cute:
Card inside stamped image:
Third card is a Pull and Stand Up Card:  Love this delicate background of baby roses with this cute cut out bear:
When the front is pulled forward, the bear and card stands:

Hula Marci Shaker Fuse Card

Made a few of these for my Hawaiian friends using the "Fuse"......if you haven't gotten one, you are missing out on the fun. Clear shakers are a blast to create fun projects.
Inside each packet are white seed beads along with turquoise and blue round sequins (or party scatters). Words "Mahalo" are from the Silhouette On line store. Waves and sand are a Jaded Blossom Tropical Die Set found here. Sand is using Kraft card stock, then stamped with Stampin-Up Itty Bitty Backgrounds (retired) stamp using Brown ink.
Here's Hula Marci: She is approximately 2-3/4" tall printed from a digital image which can be found here in the La-la Land Crafts Store. Color used for her can also be found in theLa-la Land Crafts, too.
Reverse side of card: Note, when using the Xryon, the adhesive will not be visible but those  beads do stick a little to words.
