Sweet Tooth Mini Album

Finally: my mini album is completed after a couple months of planning. I first saw a toilet roll version from a scrapbook store called Memories Lives On in Cupertino, California. It took a while to collect all the necessary papers and embellishments since the paper line is about a year old already. I am sorry I did not take note of the original designer of this album to give her credit. My version is using Eyeglass Cases which are slightly larger than the toilet roll size. Finished project size is 6-1/2" x 4" excluding the 1" Antique Silver O-wires. The paper collection used is from Bo Bunny: Sweet Tooth. It is definitely the cutest paper collection around but hard to find now unless you do a search on line The cover is simple popped up mat. The frame is a Spellbinders Label 19. "Sweets" and "yum" are cut using my SCAL3 program using a script font form my computer. All brads used throughout this mini are also from the Bo Bunny Sweet Tooth Collection. To add character to this mini, all the edges have been brushed with brown ink.

A 3D Tray with Notes

I got this cute little notebox from Frances. She always makes the cutest little projects and this one is too cute! The template can be purchased from the Silhouette On Line Store. The paper is from SEI - lovely shades of Lavendar and Shiny Pale Green. The "for you" tag is stamped from Stampin-Up, add a little crystal glaze gel pen around the shape (ooops, sorry it doesn't show up in the photo). The lavendar organdy ribbon just finishes up this project nicely. Project is 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" x 1/2".

Here are all the 6 little notes which are about 2-7/8" x 2-7/8". Each has a shimmery butterfly and an adhesive pearl................now how can I even use these cute little notes? too cute!!!!

Birdhouse Card

I went to a recent rubber Stamp show in Sacramento, California and the Make & Take was this cute card at a stamp booth called: My Fun Stampers Journey. The card is 6" x 3". Lots of pop ups used on each layer to make a real impact. The smaller scallop is part of the larger one peeking out from under the front cover. Edges are lightly sponged with orange ink. There are so many fun elements in this card: the twine, the birdhouse where the roof and the bottom are colored with markers. The damask stamp on the left side, the strip of green card stock, the organdy ribbon.......this is def a wow card.

Here's a peek at the popped elements. Yup, even some glitter sprinkled everywhere.

Card inside, I decided to utilize the cut scallop circle so I added the white 2-1/2" circle for a hand written message.

Sewing Basket & Thread Box

A very Happy Mother's Day to all!!!! This is what I made for my Mom: it's a sewing basket and a Spool of Thread (which is a box). Both these projects are from SVGcuts.com. The cut file is called "Sew Crafty " which can be found here. You will need to have SCAL3 computer program to cut this file along with a Silhouette as the cutter. Int eh "Sew Crafty" cut file, there is also a thimble, a iris fold pin cushion card, as well as a Crafty 3D tag. So this file is super cool!!!Soooooo cute!!!!
Here's the Thread Box: finish size is 4-1/4" x 3-3/4". SU Kraft paper is used. Some red yarn from my stash and some random buttons adhered using a glue gun. Rub some Brown along the edges for a woodsy feel.

The top/bottom of the spool of thread: DSP used is left over scraps from an old SU Sale-a-bration 6x6 pack. It was put through a Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder for additional texture. This is where I tweaked the cut file: I removed the center circle and punched a larger circle - 1-1/2" in diameter using SU Kraft paper. Then punched a 1-1/4" Red Circle for the stamped image (used Prima Thread cling stamps) with SU Chocolate Chip ink.

Now here is the sewing basket. It is 5"x5" oval in shape. The top is embossed with Cuttlebug Measure by Measure embossing edge folder anchored with antique brads.........cool, eh? The red oval is embossed with Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder. DSP used for the lid is Graphic 45 Bed of Roses paper and the sewing box bottom is using Graphic 45 Bits and Pieces paper. A few buttons are added embellishments to the lid.
Here's a side view of the sewing basket. The Ric rack is a PTI (PaperTrey Inc. die which can be found here) cut in the same SU Red paper and sponged with brown edges.

We did celebrate Mother's Day one day early because it was also my Mother's birthday. My mother enjoyed this gift - she has been retired for a while and had a very long career as a seamstress. She is also very creative so I know I had been influenced by her all these years. I hope you enjoyed this as well.

Modern Cube Punched Card

I received this wonderful card from Jan Castle (see her blog here). I absolutely love it - I am blown away by the screen she made. Of course, she even enclosed a separate punched sample as well as all the details on how to make this card (see end of post). The punch video technique can be found on Becca Feeken's blog: Amazing Grace.

See the fine antique gold branch (Memory Box die) and the punched Sakura flowers in Azalea color? I love the smallest adhesive pink gems used inside the flower - yeek - get your tweezers and reading (or magnifying) glasses on!!! And, she even punched those small shiny gold "dots" using a Euro Punch Plier.
