Swaps

Here are some of the swaps from the Yahoo meeting: This one is from Teri. The right side is the front of the card. When it is opened: SURPRISE! It's a bear "wipe -out". Lovin' the 3-D. The surf boards are stamped using Glossy White Paper. The sun is punched and sponged. The wave are shaded - now how did she do that? Stipple Brush, Sponge? The bear is using SU Markers - lots of technique used on this card!

Maya showed us her Tri Shutter card. The message is sponged on the edges. The photo does not show that the 2 larger Razzle Lemonade Designer papers are stamped using the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set. To the right is the top view.

Sharon showed us how to make ice cream cones! Ones I can eat! And we did the Faux Silk technique on the Asian card. Ooops - I forgot to take a photo of the Sock Cupcakes..............

Winnie's card on the left is using the Modern Label Punch and corduroy buttons.

Mary's card on the right is another new technique: rolling marbles (that's the Vanilla part of the card) to get this streaky effect

Another B'day, another cake

I love making these - but for this one, the lid is different from the one posted on this blog on 6/22/09. The letters are ready made chip board which was covered using Designer Paper. These covered letters are adhered to the lid with dimensionals. In order for the punched flower to "stand out", 2 dimensionals were positioned one on top of the other in between the squares.

Emergency Bridal Gift

This project was made from an emptied Altoid Tin. It is for the Bride: her emergency kit. Pearls (by the yard) used around the lid of the tin and used for the strap. Punch a hole in the tin using the Crop-o-dile, then thread Pearls-by-the-yard through hole and secure with dabs of Crystal Effects.

Bridal Shower Mini Album

This gift was made for a niece's shower. Her colors are Red and White for her wedding. Her shower was yesterday so now I can post it! Yay! Remember these great On Board Bitty Books (now retired from SU - I'm hoarding a bunch of them)

Here's the album (left side) and the album cover (right side). The words were printed on the computer using the same font from the wedding invitation. The texture was created by using the Cuttlebug Swirl Embossing Folder: front and back cover and album cover. Ink up the chipboard album and cover edges using a Jet Black Sharpie Marker.

B'day Thank Yous

These are quick Thank You cards. They are "single" even though I have framed them on both sides with Real Red and Naturals Ivory. Quite sturdy: after all there are 5 layers of card stock. The right side shown in the photo below is the front side of the card. The left side is the underside for a hand written message . Look familiar? This is the same layout as the posting on 7/8/09 with a different Asian image.
