Happy Birthday Accordian and Pull Tab Card

Here's a fun birthday card I have been waiting to try for a long time. The original card with instructions and a video tutorial is posted here by Linda Kaiser. Using what I had on hand, here's my version of her card using a variety of items from my craft room. Paper used is SU Barely Banana as the card base, brown card stock as contrast.  Pattern paper is from my stash (found it at a Big Lots store). Finished card size is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".

Cool, eh?  I love how this card turned out for a very special person. Here's the tab: made using SU Round Tab punch. Stamped "pull tab" image is from Papertrey Ink's Movers & Shakers Sentiments stamp set found here.
The stamped message is also from Papertrey Ink's Think Big Favorites #13 Stamp Set found here.
Closer look at the cupcake with Stardust Stickles. The cupcake is a SVG cut file from Cards by Bird which can be found here.
"Happy Birthday" is cut from a free SVGcuts.com cut file (found here) using my SCAL and Silhouette as the cutter. "KAT" is made using Arial font.
The "50th" is also made using my SCAL/Silhouette Cameo: Arial font. And, don't you just love those presents throughout the card?  They are a Martha Stewart Boarder punch - just cut them apart, add Stickles to the bows.
 Back of card:
I will probably make another one of these type of cards............it turned out so great. Hope you also enjoyed it, too. Have a great crafty day.

Teddy Bear Parade Birthday Card

Love this cart exclusive to Wal-Mart: Teddy Bear Parade by Cricut. I said I would NEVER buy another cartridge especially because I have SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot ) and a Silhouette but when I stumbled on to this cart, I was simply hypnotized at all the outfits. My carts sit there and look pretty - hardly being used. Most of the time, there are only a few images that i like on each cart but this one?  well, I love each and every image. Being a Teddy Bear collector, I just caved and had to purchase this cart......sigh........do you blame me? This finished card is 6x6. The SVG computer cut file  card style is from SVGcuts.com from their Breezy Backyard Lever Card Collection found here.

The bear:
Glossy Accents added to the balloons, Embroidery floss used for the balloon strings, adhesive rhinestone flower to top of the party hat. The cupcake being held in Teddy's hand is fussy cut from the patterned paper.

Here's the center stamped image. Copic colors used: what? I forgot to list them - well, you can probably figure them out. Stamps from Stampendous Fifteen Candles. This stamp set is really easy to change the year as well as the message and I have used it numerous times already!!! Add some Stickles to the candles and this section is good to go...........the "birthday" words are partially from a SU On Your Birthday stamp set.
Back of the card: Stamp is from ????....had this stamp too long
Here are some photos on how this card was made:

This was a fun card to make and it went to a deserving 10 year old.

Congratulations & Sympathy Card

It's been a quite hectic these past weeks. One weekend, a wonderful wedding and then another weekend a sad funeral for a dear friend. This first card is for a wedding. The embossed frame is from SU called Framed Tulips.  The mulberry calla lilies are from Wild Orchid Company. I had some silk leaves in my stash which worked great for this bouquet.  A vanilla seam binding bow wraps the bouquet. Stamped "Congratulations" is from SU Warmest Regards set.

Another version of this layout for a sympathy card using a light yellow card stock, the same SU Framed Tulips embossing folder, vanilla seam binding and silk leaves but this time white Calla lilies also from Wild Orchid Company.

Gable Long Life Favors

This is a REALLY quick favor that was made to celebrate a 95th Birthday - can you just imagine 95 years old?  It is quite a milestone.  35 gable boxes were cut out using SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot computer program) and my Silhouette Machine as the cutter. These gable boxes came together with just one area that needed sticky tape. Now that is what I call fast! The image on the side of the box is a SVG cut file from Scrappedlives.nl which can be found here. Joann Fabric Red card stock, Michael's basic black card stock and Gold card stock from Kelly Papers used. Finished box size is 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1-3/4".
Here's the tag up close: The tag is a SVGcut file (so it can be size perfectly)  1" punch, and 1-1/8" punch used. Tie with a gold cord.

The flip side of the tag was printed, then punched.
I found these Long Life Kanji stickers in my stash and they worked out well for this project.
Open the box to reveal: CHOCOLATES!!!! Of course.................
