Notebook Gifts for the Holidays

Made these notebooks holiday gifts for teachers.  They are 4-1/4" x 6-1/4" x 3/4". One sheet of 12x12 decorative paper used to complete this project.  All papers used are from my stash. Dies used for this project are from Ali Express.
Here, a closer look at one of the notebooks: Notebook cover is black and premade with adhesive inside. A cut piece of 4" x 5-7/8" chipboard is wrapped with decorative paper (so the sides of the chipboard are not exposed), add to the cover with sticky tape.  Die cut "note" paper in Kraft card stock, then emboss using Darice Notebook Paper folder, then pop with foam tape. Other die cut embellishments are adhered with wet glue.  Add the Black chipboard die cut Serif Alphabet (made by Sizzix), using the Big Shot.
Notebook inside: a standard sized Notepad can be purchased from a Dollar Tree.

Ballet Marci Holiday Recital Card

Made this card for a Holiday Ballet recital. Card size: 6" x 6". Paper used from my stash. 
Pop Ballerina Marci and Nested Frames with foam tape

White card stock mat used Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Ballerina Marci Copic Colors:
Hair: W4, W5, W7, W9
Face: E00, E01, E02, E11, R11, R20, R21, R39, RV21
Rose, Dress, Ballet Slippers: R56, R59, R89
Leaf in Hair: YG99, G24, G94
Apply " spots" of Stardust Stickles to the dress and flower. Adhesive rhinestone in the flower center.
Pop Ballerina Slippers with foam tape. A adhesive rhinestone on bow top.  Add Stardust Stickles to top of rolled roses
Die cut Ballerina Dress in the bottom right corner is double layered popped with foam tape. Die cut a silver card stock layer, cut apart the top of the dress to create the shadow effect. Add adhesive rhinestones around the wiast.
Both corners have a die cut bow with an adhesive rhinestone.
Card inside: "Do what You love" message is a die from Ali Express.

Some Boo Bark Treats

Wanted to share some simple Halloween treats this year. There is a grocery store called: Trader Joe's. During Halloween, they have many treats to be had.  One of the items is called "Boo Bark" which basically is chocolate with sprinkles of Halloween candies over the top.  Perfectly packaged, these were simple to decorate using Halloween papers and embellishments had on hand (and use).  Each package used black scraps of fishnet, elements are popped using foam tape.  Use a hot glue gun for some of the fancy items.  Many of the embellishments were from 75-80% off sales after Halloween.......time to use them!!!! They turned out goulish!

Photo Pop up Photo Birthday Card

Made this surprise birthday card for a good friend.  Photos are from a recent trip to Tokyo Disneyland printed using the Word document, re-sized 1-1/4" square to fit into the frames.   The dies are from Karen Burniston and can be purchased here.  Papers used are from my stash: the typical Disney colors of Black, red and yellow. Card size is 6" x 6".  This size allowed enough room to embellish as much as possible.

Panda Pop Up Box Birthday Card

Made this birthday card for a Panda fan. This is a card cut file from the Silhouette on line store.  Paper used is from my stash.  Decorative paper is from the Graphic 45 Bird Song Collection (retired).  Finished card size is 5" x 6".  

Letters were made using Chow Fun Free Font on a Silhouette. Panda are popped up using Regular size and small Wobbles.For additional subtle texture on the front cover and inside, Graphic 45 Bamboo printed paper is embossed using Darice bamboo folder.

Baby Boy Shower Bitty Book

A special gift for a Baby Boy Shower: this retired Stampin-Up Bitty Books are a snap to decorate but serves a great purpose for 3" x 3" snapshots. Album is painted with white acrylic paint.  Solid papers used are from Recollections. Decorative Paper is from Simple Stories Color Vibe 6x6 Paper Pack.  Finished Album case size is 5" x 4-1/4" x 1-3/8".  The original project is chipboard which was painted with white paint.  Inside album is 4-4/8" x 3-3/4" x 1". A small white shopping bag will hold the finished album.

Front Box Cover:

Double matted album cover and album.  Center of album cover is using White cut using the Silhoutte Nested Shape cut file.  Add texture to the Grey card stock by using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  Then shape is popped with foam tape.

Small baby onesies are cut using the Silhouette Baby Banner file (without the string across the top) - add foam squares to them.


Name is cut using the Silhouette. Making the white card stock shadow was a snap with the Silhouette.
Spine: 1/8" wide red satin ribbon is wrapped, single knotted with themed sport charms. These sport charms can be found at a local craft store. To secure the knots and charms from coming loose, use mini glue dots n tuck knot inside the bead.
Album Cover:

Double mats same as the album cover used for the outside of the album cover.   Two die cut baby pins on the bottom right corner.

 Album inside cover: a touch of 1/8" wide red card stock peeks out of the pocket.  Grey card stock uses the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.Pages have red, black, and white card stock mats.


 Inside page 1: a small copy of the invitation.
