Year of the Sheep

Today is the start of the Chinese Lunar New Year: Year of the Sheep (Ram).  I am so lucky to have this cute stamp from Dandelion MC 54 to make these quick treats for some special friends. You can find this stamp and other really cute stamps here.  And, want to keep up on the latest inspirational projects, be sure to check out the Dandelion Designs Blog found here. Aren't they all just adorable?

The image is stamped and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Copics colors used are: W0, W2, W4, E11, E00, R21. I did use a Stamp Positioner to ensure the sheep and the words are aligned. In addition, the Asian Sheep Character and the words are stamped with Momento Ruby Ink, then clear embossing powder applied over it. Cut the finished image using the Spellbinders Large Octagon die. The gold mat is hand cut - not too challenging. Add a few randomly placed gold sequins using Glossy Accents to adhere. Pop the whole thing with foam squares. Wrap a gold cord around the top twice, tie a bow, add a drop of Glossy Accents to secure know. These packages are 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" square. The cut file can be found in the Silhouette Store.
Here you can see the clear embossing on the Momento Black ink, giving the sheep more dimension.
Pull out to reveal a Golden Chocolate foil covered treat with some embossed Zodiac images:
 Isn't this so cute?
They are stacked and easy to give out (just like the real Lai See money!)
Thank you for stopping by today to visit.
