Dandelion Fan Box Favor

Updated post 9/12/2011: Template is enclosed in the stamp set when it is purchased and very easy to follow. The dimension on the Fan Box itself is 4" x 2-1/2" x 1".

Are these the cutest or what? You must have seen this cute project all over the place. It's another Dandelion Stamp set (called "Happy Wishes") that came with a project sheet. Yup - that means the fans and the box template came with the set!!!!! Is this the coolest or what? I love how these boxes turned out. They are simple to make and did not take long at all. I did make one little project change: omitted the thread to open and close the fan. That fun paper is from my favorite resource: My Little Shoebox!!!! Love it!!!!

Shown front of box and back view of box:

To make this project, (5) fans are needed + (1) box (template provided by Dandelion).

After folding all score line, position sticky tape and dimensionals as shown.

Use a 1/16" hand held punch for the fan box base:

Punch through all fans (about 1/2" away from the bottom), then secure to fan box with brad as shown.

Copic colors used: in addition, add Stardust Stickles to the hair, candle, and cupcake icing

After completing and cutting out stamped image, place dimensionals as shown. Note dress is stamped and cut out from my stash of Washi paper (use small prints) - this paper came from a local Japanese store (Daiso) and scraps are only needed.
Here's how to place goodies into the fan box: the fan is moved from side to side. Position the left fan on top of the dimensional to the far right and the right fan on top of the dimensional to the far left to be able to fully expand the fan

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Dandelion Happy Wishes, Kaisercraft Oriental

  • CS: SU Old Olive, Neenah White, My Little Shoebox Harmony-Tranquility, Washi

  • Ink: Momento Black

  • Accys: Gold Brads, SU Dimensionals, 1/16" Hand held Punch, Sticky Tape, Stardust Stickles, Copic Markers, Template from Dandelion

Thank you for stopping by to visit................and see ya next week...............have a great weekend!!!

  6. Supah KAWAII! (or super cute, as they say in Japanese)You did an awesome job of creating these fan favor boxes, Patti! So much work to put these together, but the end result is so worth the effort. Love the idea of stamping on the washi for the kimono...looks great! Sigh, wish we had DAISO here...I miss that store!
