Monstera Pillar Candle Wrap and Cake Topper

This is the last Hawaiian Wedding post.  The center pieces are glass with Monstera leaves made from card stock wrapped around.  This was a cut file found in the Silhouette Store. Inside the glass cylinder is a timed LED candle.  Height is approximately 11-1/2" tall.
.
Here's the cylinder on the guest tables:
As a surprise to the bride, this cake topper was custom made (it matched the Sandcastle previously posted).  All images were using the Silhouette. So cute!!!  The "Mr. & Mrs." are made using gold card stock, adhered to a smaller leaf, then attached on the jute string with mini clothes pins.  Each of the images are secured with wooden skewers.
A simple wedding cake with the cake topper.
Another surprise for the bride: the cake stand rim is decorated with linked Monstera leaves.
Thank you so much for reading through all these Wedding projects. It was quite a delightful memory to be had.  I loved being part of this special moment and enjoyed the challenge to create the decor for the special wedding and the special couple.  I hope you will be inspired to create something special for your someone sometime, too.

Hawaiian Wedding Utensil and Dessert Labels

Another project made for the June Hawaiian Wedding:  instead of individual name cards, there was "open" seating.  However, to customized this wedding, utensil holders were made using Recollections Kraft card stock.  Edges are sponged with dark brown ink.  These holders were placed at the table.
Here's a closer look at the holder. The pineapple is die cut with edges sponged and stippled with dark brown ink. Die is from Carta Bella Pineapple. Pineapple is held with a natural jute string.  Words are computer generated using Sweet Pea Font.
Another look:
Here is the labels for the dessert table:
Here's a closer look at the individual dessert label with the baker:
At the wedding, the following photos show some the labels positioned as follows (yum):
Left over deserts were bagged by guests to take home in Kraft bags:

Monstera Table Labels

Today's post continues with some of the June wedding projects. These are escort cards made for the main table and special guest table.
This reserved table signage is approximately, 5-1/2" x 7". Names are printed using the Sweet Pea Font with Dark Green Ink, then mounted on Recollections Kraft card stock. Edges are sponged with dark brown ink.  The Monstera Leaf is cut using the Silhouette machine.
Here's the individual escort card:  Size is the typical table size.
At the wedding, the names were inserted into a slice piece of wood:

Here are the appetizer labels which are the same size as the escort cards:
The main buffet labels: These were positioned on the right and left side of each item.
A closer look at the individual buffet label:
That's all for today.............a bit more of the Wedding projects to be posted soon.

Monstera Wedding Banners

A quick post on the banners made for the June Hawaiian Wedding.  The Bride purchased the "Bride" and "Groom" wood words. Monstera cut leaves are behind the words to co-ordinate with the overall Monstera theme.
Here's the "Welcome" banner greeting the guests.  The inked wood clothespins held the leaves in place on a natural jute string. "Welcome" is cut using the Silhouette machine in Gold card stock and Sweet Pea Font.
In  front of the bar: a banner that simply says "Cheers".  Monstera leave them and Gold card stock. Again, inked clothes pins used to secure the letters on a natural jute string.
For the dessert table, "Love is Sweet" banner hung. Inked wooden clothes pins secured onto a natural Jute string used.  The same Gold card stock used for the Sweet Pea Font.
Thank you for stopping by to see the projects from the wedding. More projects to be posted soon.

Hawaiian Wedding Guest Book

This custom made guest book for the June Wedding in Hawaii. Album is made using a sturdy mat board.  Covered using the Recollections Black card stock as the base then mat using Recollections Kraft card stock. Edges of the mat at sponged and stipped using a dark brown ink to create "sand" effect. Sizzix Tropical dies used for the front and back covers. The finished size is approximately 7" x 12" x 3".
Guest book back:
"Our Guests" is computer generated, printed using a dark green ink color to match the die cut leaves.
Here's a closer look at the floral strip:
Inside covers have pockets with a Hawaiian flower along with additional leaves:
Guests took a Instax photo to insert into this guest book.  They would then sign a well wish for the couple using a gold gel pen.  Pages were pre-made using clear photo corners to easily insert the finished photos. The pages were bound using 1-3/4" Black O-wires.
And everyone looked so fabulous against this home made back drop:

Hawaiian Wedding Sand Castle

I had made this previously (posted August 31, 2012). This version is taller and was customized for the Bride and Groom. It is a paper sand castle sitting on top of a box for Wedding Card envelopes.  To make this sand castle, use SVG Cuts Wet n Wild SVG Collection. The Merman and mermaid along with the Sea shells are also from SVG Cuts their Tropical Friends SVG Collection. The castle is removable, it sits on top of the box. Sand Castle base is Recollections Kraft with a Blush textured card stock from my stash for the contrast. All Kraft paper is stippled throughout using a dark brown ink to resemble the texture of sand.
Here's a closer look at the addition to the original sand castle: added Monstera leaf banner with the newly wed's surname clipped on the jute rope with mini wooden clothes pins. The Monstera Leaf was a cut file from the Silhouette on line store. The file needed to be slightly changed but easily to do using the Silhouette program. Surname is gold card stock from my stash, cut using the Silhouette, Sweet Pea font (a free downloadable font). The starfish is embossed using Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. The Shell is embossed using Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Vellum card stock used to cover the Castle windows.

The Bride Mermaid has brownish hair, Gold embossed fins (Couture Collections Rainbow Wave embossing folder). Use a Sakura Black gel pen to dot the eyes.  Adhesive flat back pearl on top of the leaves in her hair.
The Groom Merman has reddish hair, Gold embossed fins (Couture Collections Rainbow Wave embossing folder). Use a Sakura Black gel pen to dot the eyes. A multi green color lei is embellished on him.
Top of the sand castle: the peak has a variety of adhesive flat back pearls. The flag is computer generated using free downloadable Sweet Pea font.
Here's a closer look at the lid: The waves are a free SVG cut file from SVG Cuts. Blue pearl paper is from my stash
Palm trees flank each side of the sand castle. Replacing the paper clip with small magnets (one of the palm tree and the opposite one of the inside back of the castle top), trees were able to stand on their own. Palm tree is a SVG cut file from Miss Kate Cutables Beach Scene collection.  Palm tree trunk is embossed using Stampin-Up Squared Lattice embossing folder. Popped Coconuts are embossed using Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. Entire tree is inked using brown ink on the edges.
Sand Castle back: opening for tea light and opening for slipping envelopes into box.

Bridal Shower Leis and Recipe Cards

These Hawaiian ribbon leis are for the Bridal shower in Hawaii.  They are made using specialty ribbon acquired from a Lei Making store in Oahu: U'I Mau A Mau LLC at the Gentry Pacific Design Center.  Schedule a free lei making lesson with the purchase of ribbon when visiting the Island. Leis shown here ( left to right) are called Star of India, Orchid Lei, and Mt. Apple. These leis were given to the 3 guests who participated in the Bridal Shower games.
The Bride at the shower was also given favorite recipes from many friends and family. I sent along these 2 recipes on 6" x 8" Recollections White card stock, score 4" along 8" side, fold. The recipe was printed using Dark Green ink Comic San Font.
Papertrey Ink Tropics Stamp Set used to decorate the edges. Note: Stampin-Up Always Artichoke Ink - 2nd generation stamped to give the light effect. Stampin-Up Close to Cocoa Ink (retired) with lightly sponged edges on both recipes.
Here are the cards folded in half:
