This is Day 5 (the last day) of the La-la Land Crafts monthly project kit that started in the month of August 2014 - check out the club details here. This is the first kit La-la Land offered. My blog has posted each of the projects included in the kit as of October 27, 2014. There is an option to purchase only the stamps and dies each month. I chose the full kit which comes with the stamps, dies, paper, embellishments and detail instructions for each project. And, of course, there is the option to be creative outside the box, too. These stamps and dies are not available for purchase for one year so being in the club makes it ever so exclusive and special. Continuing Mermaid Marci theme: This card is an additional card, not part of the 3 monthly projects - I really wanted to stamp the shell for one of the cards. There is plenty of paper and embellishments leftover to make way more cards so this is one of them. This card is a 6x6 size.
Card base is Bazzil's Rust and Olive mat is textured card stock. That wonderful embossed decorative paper is from the kit - yummy!!!! The die cut star fish are popped with foam squares. The oval is also cut with Bazzil Rust textured card stock as the mat with Recollections Neutral color as the oval on top of the rust.....pop it up with foam squares.
A stamped fish popped with foam squares on the left side.
Copic colors used for the shell: E19, E50, E53, E99 with a larger adhesive pearl in the center.
And, don't you love her hair combination of turquoise blue and green? I hadn't done Mermaid Marci using these colors so this card was perfect to try. Copic colors used are BG11, BG13, BG45, BG53, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97.
Card inside: The paper used is from the kit. It is the matt version of the card with slightly different color front which is perfect for this card style. Inside card base is also the Rust color from Bazzil. The seaweed is Bazzil's Green. The solid card stock mats are from Recollections Neutral paper pack. There is a A2 card size in the Silhouette store but this 6x6 card style/measurements is called a Pop-Up Book Card and can be found on Beccy's Place.blogspot.com here.
Overhead view:
Stamped and Copic colored fish along with seaweed at the bottom cut using the Bazzil Green card stock.
Thank you for stopping by today................the La-la Land Club September kit has been received but I have not had a chance to work on the projects yet but stay tuned....they will be posted. In addition, please note the 2014 La-la Land Craft Retreat has finished and I will also be busily working on completing those projects to be posted, too.

August Club La-la Land Mermaid Marci Frame Project
This is Day 3 and project #3 of the La-la Land Crafts monthly project kit that started in the month of August 2014 - check out the club details here. This is the first kit La-la Land offered. My blog has posted each of the projectsas of October 27, 2014. Continuing with the theme for this month featuring Mermaid Marci, this is the 3D project. The frame is made from Paperboard (a La-la Land exclusive material) which is etched with seashells. Included in the kit are the loose paper board pieces: star fish, sand dollar, shells, and sea horses. These paper board pieces add so much dimension the to the project. Everything seen in the photo is included in the kit. Assembly instruction are included in the kit.
Love this sea-like flower:
The paper board star fish in the corner are popped with foam squares:
On the bottom, the sand dollar and another shell popped with foam squares:
Here's Mermaid Marci popped with foam squares: She has adhesive pearls in the hair band.
In the center of the frame is the most gorgeous paper - shiny copper within the paper really makes this project very rich looking. One of the sea horses are popped with foam squares. Some randomly positioned die cut sat fish on the paper, too.
Here;'s a closer look at Mermaid Marci: I did not use the Copic colors suggested for her hair. I chose tones of light turquoise and brown.
Thank you for stopping by today to see this project..........stay tuned for additional cards.

August Club La-la Land Mermaid Marci Square Card
OMG - so if you have been living in a cave, you may not be aware of the La-la Land Crafts monthly project kit that started in the month of August 2014 - check out the club details here. This is the first kit La-la Land offered. My blog will have a posting of each of the projects for the next 5 days. There is an option to purchase only stamps and dies each month. I chose the full kit which comes with the stamps, dies, paper, embellishments and detail instructions for each project. And, of course, there is the option to be creative outside the box, too. These stamps and dies are not available for purchase for one year so being in the club makes it ever so exclusive and special. The theme for this month was Mermaid Marci. I did chose to go outside the box but too outside. I LOVED Design Team Leader, Sue's card. So my card is CASED from blog site here. Copic colors used: see Sue's blog for details. This is a 6x6 card.
I absolutely love all the papers selected for this month's projects. They are absolutely gorgeous - unfortunately, the paper company was not revealed to us. I did add a couple of my own papers. The solid Coral: Stampin-Up Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Recollections Shades of Red. Fish are popped with foam squares.
Seaweed: paper from Recollections Cool Water paper Pack. Yup, the strip of seaweed (which also can be used for icicles), coral, star fishes, sea horse are all dies that came with this kit. They are cut and popped with foam squares.
Here's Mermaid Marci which is the theme of the month. In addition, the rocks and additional fish with a sentiment are included as part of the stamp set this month.
In this photo, the exquisite shiny paper is clearly shown:
Mermaid Marci is popped with foam squares. I love her coral hair band with small adhesive pearls in the flower centers. And, don't you just love her two-toned hair color.............very mystic.
Card inside: I went crazy die cutting those seahorses,m coral and seaweed strip.............love how it turned out.
A closer look at the inside:
A small adhesive pearl for the sea horse eyes is a nice touch:
I do hope you enjoyed this card and a few more to come in the next days..............thank you for stopping by today.

La-la Land Marci Charm Bracelets
Are you ready for this? These are very special "thank you" gifts for the teachers and Irina (owner of La-la Land Crafts). The logo is from the 2013 Craft Retreat. These were given to them on October 24th at the 2014 Craft Retreat. They are decorated Altoid tins. The template to decorate these tins are from the on line Silhouette Store. Makes it soooo easy to assemble. The colors are from the Goody Bag received from the 2013 Craft Retreat.............it really looks great even though I had to take a photo of the bag front.
Here's a side view of the decorated tin:
I decided to "print and cut" the teacher's names for the inside cover using the font on my computer and the Silhouette. The inside bottom and sides of the tin are also covered using card stock. Shown in the photo is tissue because there is a surprise inside...........
Debbie: http://www.debbiepsplace.blogspot.com/
Sue: http://sue-myinnerreflection.blogspot.com/
Sandie: http://sandieshores.blogspot.com/
Here's a closer look at the charms: The Silver coated bracelet and components can be purchased from Craft Fantastic which can be found here. The "trays" that hold the images are 1" in square and round shapes. The domes are made of glass which is great so they will not turn yellow (like plastic) over time. The images were copied from the blog site and pasted onto a word document, re sized, printed, then placed into the trays.

Revealing the contents once the tissue is unwrapped is......................
A charm bracelet: this specific charm bracelet is for Irina (owner of La-la Land Crafts) which has twelve charms. It is a combination of images from each of the teachers own bracelets along with a couple of her favorite images and early designed images. For each teacher (La-la Land Design Team Leaders), the question was asked what images are the top eight from La-la Land Crafts so that means, their bracelets have their favorite images which they had shown, at one time, on their blog. Design Team Leaders and their blog sites are:Debbie: http://www.debbiepsplace.blogspot.com/
Sue: http://sue-myinnerreflection.blogspot.com/
Sandie: http://sandieshores.blogspot.com/

I really enjoyed making this project knowing it was personalized for each teacher. Note these type of bracelets can be made using family photos, best friends photos, pets etc........so many possibilities.

Asian Cork Crane Card
What a delight to receive this wonderful card from my blog friend Jan -she has a blog here. This A2 size card is so cool. Background stamped using Judikins #33423 Chinese Clouds using light blue ink, then edged with blue metallic chisel pen (of course, how suble and wonderful is that?). The metallic pen makes such a fine faux mat. More details below:
Like the close-up of this Bamboo? It is a die from Joy Crafts (die #60020230) using Green "silk" paper, then highlighted with shades of Copic markers. The crane is a die called Oriental Crane Die (set #TL-ACD150) made by Tattered Lace cut in thin cork paper. Crane is popped up with foam squares. Add a small adhesive blue rhinestone for the eye and it is perfect!
Water is using Hanko Cloud Die (#DD004) found here which is popped up found here using metallic paper and edged with blue metallic chisel pen. I love this look.
Card inside:
Love this detail on the inside: a small cork flourish
