Kimono Marci Trnket Box

This was a fun project to work on.  For the paper, I used  Hanko Washi Paper item #RC6927 Pink Rose Floral Yuzen Paper found here - isn't it so cool?  The project was made from La-la Land Crafts Trinket Box Kit found here. The embellishments are also from La-la Land Crafts dies: Cherry Blossom Branch, Cherry Blossoms found here. The image is Kimono Marci found here. Bazzil Pink Card Stock is used on the Oval and inside covers of this project.  Cuttlebug Cherry Blossom embossing folder is used on the Bazzil Pink card stock. Finished project size: 6-1/2" x 5" x 1". More details below
Copic colors:
Umbrella, Shoes,  and sleeve: R85, R83, R81, RV10, RV000
Umbrella handle and shoes: E43, E70
Gold Smooch for hair bands, collar, front band
18K Gold Leafing Pen made by Krylon
Dress: Pink Rose Floral Washi Paper pieces.
Side view of the project: the 18K Gold Leafing Pen made by Krylon is used on all the raw edges. Foam squares pop up the front panel, the Oval, the Marci images as well as the Cherry Blossoms.
See the shimmery Gold Smooch for hair bands, collar, front band:Cuttlebug Cherry Blossom embossing folder
Adhesive pearls attached to the Cherry Blossom Branch which was die cut 3 times so it would be sturdy
Here the Cherry Blossoms are stacked and also with a adhesive pearl in the center:
On the inside cover: Cuttlebug Cherry Blossom embossing folder used throughout. La-la Land Crafts dies: Cherry Blossom Branch, Pagoda, and  Decorative Corner found here. The Washi Oval was cut from the front panel and used here on the inside cover - add the  18K Gold Leafing Pen made by Krylon on the edge.
Adhesive pearls embellish the Cherry Blossoms:
The 18K Gold Leafing Pen made by Krylon is on the inside box top edge and in the "fold" lines of the box. Attach the box to the base using Fabric-tac adhesive.
I didn't send an empty box - inside holds a "Lei-like" barrette.
Here's a closer look: light pink, bright pink, greens adorn this project
To attach the Lei, upholstery thread is wrapped around the barrette.  Secure ends with some Glossy Accents.
The back: just gorgeous Washi paper!
Thanks for coming by to visit...............hope you are inspired to make one of your own.
