Steampunk Marci Wall Art

Starting the projects from the second day at the La-la Land Retreat held in Pacifica, California  in October 25-27 today. If you haven't seen any of the previous projects, you can go back to the beginning of the posting on October 28. There are many projects from Day 2 so I will be breaking up them up to post. Today's project is designed by Irina: called Steampunk Marci Wall Art .  I am new to using a canvas frame - you know those small white ones where you can decorate with whatever you want or use acrylic paints to create original art.  For this project, it is covered the 6" x 6" x 1" canvas using shimmery paper..............wow - it sure turned out way cool.  A great idea........and a great item to alter.  All dies used are from La-la Land and can be found here.  I am an expert at quilling flowers now................great practice with all the projects.  Finished project is 8-3/4" x 8-3/4"
Here's the canvas covered frame without the background: simpler but still OK. The Steampunk Frame and Shapes used on top of the canvas can be found here. Viva Gold Pearl Pen used throughout this project as an accent.
The Steampunk Marci image can be found here:
A closer look at the quilled flowers - actually, my stamped message was not high enough, it was centered, so I needed to make a little adjustment to the position of those flowers from the original design. It still worked out OK.

Here's the bottom right section with some die cut gears, clock hands, and a die cut banner with a key..
The Clock corners are part of the Steampunk Frame and Shapes but they are cut into quarters. Love the Viva Gold Pearl Pen used as an accent.
The stamped and embossed inspirational message:
The side view: Note the Black card stock base has a pattern paper, then a pattern acetate on top of that before positioning the die cut doilies on each section.  The canvas is popped up with foam tape.
This was another one of those "over the top" projects....................whew!!!! I am very happy with the results...............it's nice to get it finished to admire!  Stay tuned for more projects coming..............we are NOT done yet.
