Spooky Halloween Houses

A few of us all got together to make some spooky houses. Everyone had their own little "twist" to define what is spooky. Some of the gals even put the dormers on a little crooked on purpose and the chimneys slightly at an angle, too. The roof is sponged using Craft White ink and the house is sponged using Black ink. The great part of this house is that the lid comes off so the house becomes a container for treats (and it Will hold a lot so add some fun toys) and other "catch all" spooky items. Finished size for this house is: 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" x 6". The inside box size is: 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" so that means recipe cards can be put inside the box.

This neighborhood is looking spooky!
Some of the gals placed plastic spider and bats onto the house, using mini glue dots. Other decorating options:
  • web on the dormers and peak
  • skeletons
  • stamped webs
  • stamped or 3D bats
  • Chunky Glitter
  • tombstones around the base of the house
  • punched rats
  • flying witch

Another view of the neighborhood:

And here is a photo of one of the houses that had to "leave" - like the open gate? Great idea, huh?

Supplies:
  • Stamps: non SU
  • CS: Pumpkin, Black
  • Ink: Black, Craft White
  • Accys: Sponge Daubers, Rat Punch (non SU), Swirl Embossing folder (non SU), Gate Punch (non SU)

I have not completed my house - decorating takes much thought! I will post my completed house with further details next week so stay tuned.

Thank you for stopping by this week........we have had lots of fun............more next week. Have a great weekend!
