Here's a close-up of the sushi: red licorice (or gummy worms can be used) in the middle.
Here's a close-up of the sushi using Candy Swedish Fish and then wrapped with a strip of Fruit Roll:
So if you follow the instructions on the Rice Krispies box - be sure you don't overload the glass bowl with too many marshmallows (36 large ones are plenty) because this is what happens!!!!!! Yeek!!! A volcanic explosion!!!! It was funny at the time but not funny to clean up. Here is the photo of the Sushi maker used.
In spite of the volcanic explosion, the mixture was saved!!! Line 2 packages of Fruit Rolls in the sushi maker (oops the sushi maker cutting slots is upside down - next photo shows it fixed). Fill and pack the cavity with small amounts of mixture, press in (1) Red Licorice, add more mixture. In the next photo, the fruit roll is folded over. Using a serrated knife, slice the sushi in the provided slots (that's why the slots need to be right side up!)
OMG! Patti, this is the coolest thing ever! I've seen faux sushi made with coconut & chocolate, but this is the first I've seen w/ rice krispies. How does it taste?
ReplyDeleteThis is so great! It looks like it took ages to make!
