Shoe Week: Bella Rose

I'd love to have a pair of these shoes! Finished project size is 3-1/2" high x 5-1/2" long.

Side view:

Front View: There are (2) die cut little leaves with a large flower from the Buds & Blooms die. Using the butterfly die, curl the wings, using a bone folder. Clear and shiny adhesive gemstones finish off this decoration.
Another side view:

Below back view of the shoe. There is a Small 6 point flower from the Buds & Blooms die on top of the Little Leaves die. Both are attached with mini glue dots. The Trio Flower punch used with a clear and shiny adhesive gemstone. Finish it off with a tied Riding Hood Red ribbon also attached with a mini glue dot.

The underside of the shoe and heel is solid Real Read card stock.

This is the template for the shoe originally from "The Paper Zone". The size was increased +15%. Unfortunately, this template is no longer available on their site (not sure why). It was received as a handout during a local rubber stamp show about 5 years ago.
Comment added 6/15: Paper Zone has a similar template available but it seems it is no longer available on line even though it says: click here for template. As an alternative, do a Google search for "paper shoe template". You will find many to chose from..........

Supplies:
  • Stamps: none

  3. Hi Patti,

Absolutely fantastic shoe. Too bad the Bella Rose is going bye, bye. It has such a wonderful 40's/50's kind of feel to it. Just like vintage linens. Always has me thinking World War II era for some reason or right after when picnics and fabric production took off big time.

Any chance you can turn the template photo into something that expands to a larger size. This one is so small that when I try to enlarge it I lose some of the proportions and definition.

Thanks for sharing the creativity and inspiration. Your blog is a must stop for members of my SU demo newsletter who see your links weekly.

    Hugs and blessings - Jean

  4. Oh my goodness Patti...after a little tinkering I got my graphics program to work with the jpg template and printed a medium version (bigger than the picture smaller than your measurements). Went together like a dream and looked so cute even with the just the copy paper. Gotta run out to the studio now and try it with DSP. Thanks for making this look so easy. It really, really is!

Here's a link to a printable template I found on HP's activity center. You can print as is and use or just use it as a template for cool SU DSP.
