Washi Tape Thank You Card

I saw this card using Washi Tape and decided to  give it a try....it was made by Julie Ebersol using a photo - here is the link to her tutorial. My version is using pattern paper. The Stampin-Up Pretty in Pink mat is using the Cuttlebug Thanks Embossing Folder.  The fun paper is My Little Shoebox Cherry Delight - Serenade Designer Paper. Card base is a darker version of the Pretty in Pink from my stash. This card is almost like a shaker card since there are sprinkles inside. Add a grosgrain ribbon to the bottom to finish up the card.
'thanks " is stamped with Black Staz-on using the Stampin-Up Thank You Kindly set.
Inside white mat is wrapped with the dot Washi tape, too:
Here's what the embossed mat looks like. The pattern paper has some adhesive rhinestones (not sure if it really needs it - it looks like it impairs the flow of the rhinestone flowers).  Cut a piece of acetate the same size as the  pattern paper, then wrap the Washi paper along the edges, inserting the flower rhinestones, and then finally closing the top.  Foam tape is added to the back.
Here are the rhinestone flowers int he pouch:
Hope you all like this concept...................have a crafty day.

My Very Own Initial Candy Container

I absolutely love this gift from my friend Jackie C. It is the cutest thing: it's about 3-1/2" tall.  Soooo cute!!!! She got her Silhouette and immediately started "practicing" to use it. Of course, she also used the Graphic 45 Bird Song paper which I absolutely LOVE.......................You can find this and other initials in the Silhouette on Line Store.
Like this cute tag, too?
Remove the top layer of the initial..............cute little box with little candies...........love it yet?
Thank you, Jackie, for giving me this cute present. I absolutely love it. I am excited to make some of my own sometime soon...............happy crafting!!!!!

A Lantern for Camping

This lantern was made for my DH's best-est friend from Elementary School (and that was a long time ago).  They went camping together with the Boy Scouts at Camp Royaneh. This was one of the camps they enjoyed together as kids during scouting.  This 3D lantern is from SVGcuts.com, their SVG Collection called Camp Smore found here. Papers used Core-dinations Canvas Olive Green, plaid papers from Recollections plaid pack and Vellum Card stock.  Lifestyle Crafts Cross Hatch Embossing Folder used on the handles. Finished size is 8-1/2" tall by 5" wide.
Back of the Lantern:
It looks so cool with the tea light on:
Here is a closer look at the banner: all the edges are sponged with brown ink. This banner was taken from another project int he collection but it fit great on this lantern.
Lantern top has a twine knot with a moth (included in the SVG cut file). I love the rustic brads that hold the top and side. 12 brads used for this project.
At the base is a resin button with a twine bow.
This project wwas very quick tomake and I love how it turned out. Thank you for coming to visit today. May this inspire you to make one of these lantern, too.

Asian Lady with Butterflies

Stamp Out Cute is a company that participated in the San Jose Stamp Show. I finally was able to purchase more stamps. There will be a few more posts with their stamps coming soon to be posted. The edge is using EK Success Scroll Pattern Boarder Punch. Sundance (Gold) Smooch and Green Smooch is used in many areas on the card. Card stock is Stampin-Up Black and Bashful Blue card stock.  Gold card stock is from Kelly Paper.  This whole section is popped with foam tape (black foam tape is used behind the punched scroll area). Neenah White with Momento Tuxedo Black ink used to stamp and coloring is Copic Pens: W1, W3, W5,  B23, B21, B41, R81, G24, G85, G99, Y19
Here's a closer look at how the the dress is colored:
Gold Smooch is in her hair and around the dress neckline, as well as on the bracelets around her wrist.
I decided to add this Kanji Stamp (from Hero Arts - sooooo old!) in the corner. Can you see the Green Smooch on the leaf and Gold Smooch on the Butterfly.
To make this card just a little different, I decided add a gold cord with some gold beads.  Add Glossy Accents to the ends and on the knot to secure from fraying.
Card inside: pierce through both layers about 1" from the top/bottom, then thread through to make knots and bow.
Thank you for stopping by today.................and a happy crafty day to you!

Cruise Ship Mini from Pine Cone Press

Now this mini was so fun to make. This mini is for a long time friend who lives in Hawaii. It is a surprise so I hope she will not have any time to look at this on my blog.  I used BOTH my Silhouette and my SCAL computer program to cut some of the additional unique personalized elements for this recently released Cruise Ship Mini from Pine Cone Press.  The finished mini is 12" x 6" (excluding those protruding smoke stacks from the ship).  The cruise ship shape is chipboard, then covered using Pine Cone Press exclusive papers.  The anchor is also chipboard that has been colored using a brown Marvy brush pen. I added the 2013 Alaska Cruise words cut using my SCAL program: font is Lobster 2.
Inside cover is a spot for that moment when you get on the ship.  Waves on both inside pages are a SVG cut file from Miss Kate Cuttables Smooth Sailing.
Port Hole is from SVGcuts.com and is FREE an can be found here.  I made the porthole into a frame (popped up with foam squares) so that a photo could be slipped behind. The life preserver is part of the Nautical Set from the Silhouette on line store.
Open the Life Preserver to reveal additional spots for photos:
I had this anchor charm in my stash for a long time waiting for this album - it is perfect!
Stack Suitcases on each side of these two pages is a SVG cut file from Miss Kate Cuttables. Only two sides of the suitcases are secured so the mat can be removed. The "waterfall photo mats are tied with red/white twine. Anchor and Ship Steering Wheel are from the Nautical Set from the Silhouette On Line Store.
Smooth Sailing SVG cut out is from Miss Kate Cuttables:
See how the mats can be removed from the stack of suitcases and the Smooth Sailing mat can is opened for more photos, too
These next two pages have pockets for those removable tag photo mats:
For the BIG reveal: it's the anniversary cruise: wow 30 years!!!!! There is a pocket on the right side for the pull out photo mat.
Then there is a larger exploding pull up/down mat: Words were cut using SCAL/Lobster 2 font.
On this last page, there is another waterfall photo mats, tied using red/white twine.
This is a great mini to have and be able to display it out for all to see............I hope she enjoys it and fills it with all her memories from her trip.
