Valentine Candy Holder

This looks like a tootsie roll but it's not. This concept is from Carolina: see her blog for her best video (www.creativepad.typepad.com). Carolina's box size is larger. I tweaked the size so it would fit on a quarter sheet of 8-1/2" x 11". Love that!!!! That means the finished project size is 4-1/4" x 1" x1". This is a cute little party favor or something that can be hold a hidden message. I made a bunch of these for Leadership and Regional swaps. Instead of candy, I am inserting the template inside.

Here's my favorite:

Another Sending Love DSP:

The pattern: Yay - it uses a quarter sheet (4-1/4" x 5-1/2")
On the 5-1/2" side: score 1-1/8" on each end
On the 4-1/4" side, score 1", the last section is 1/4" (just squeezed by for that closure)
So here's what is needed:
(1) 4-1/4" x 5-1/3" Very Vanilla CS
(1) 3" x 4-1/2" Sending Love DSP. Score 1", last column is 1/2"
(1) Modern Label punched in Pretty in Pink CS
(1) Very Vanilla for stamped message
(2) cut 6" long 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon

Stamp Message using Real Red Ink:

Apply sticky tape to the 1/4" section, assemble box. Cut as shown

Fold box so the triangles are now in the center (making a diamond shape)

Then then cut out the same shape (see the right side of the box):

Wrap the DSP around the box. Fold the score lines and also the narrowest section of the box ends as shown:

The last steps is to insert candy or whatever you chose, and tie a double knot on each end.
Supplies:
  • Stamps: The More the Merrier (Hostess Level 2)
  • CS: Very Vanilla, Sending Love DSP
  • Ink: Real Red, Close to Cocoa
  • Accys: Word Window Punch Modern Label Punch, 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Sticky Tape

Thank you for stopping by today...................HUGS!!! I'll be back from Stampin-Up Phoenix Regionals Saturday.........
