Reindeer Easel Card

Project #2 of 12 Projects: This is my version of the Easel Card. I was totally inspired by Dawn on her blog site (http://www.dostamping.typepad.com/). I believe the card was designed by Marie. I made it my own by changing out the colors a bit but other than that - the layout is the same for this card. Finished card size is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

Here it is opened: exposing the message and as a "easel".

Side view:

HOW TO MAKE THIS CARD:
Measurements:
(1) 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, score on the 8-1/2” side @4-1/4”, 6-3/8”
(1) 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” Kraft (this is the Easel part of the card)
(1) 5-1/2” x 2-1/4” Real Red CS
(1) 5-1/2” x 2-1/4” Merry Moments Old Olive Stripe DSP
(1) 3-7/8” x 2-1/4” Old Olive CS
(1) 3-7/8” x 2-1/4” Very Vanilla CS – after stamping, trim to 3-5/8” x 2”

Easel:

Cut pieces should be as follows:

"Connect" the two pieces. I used transparent tape. Flipped the paper over, then applied the Ribbon to the front.

Stamp the Reindeer and "be merry" as shown using Soft Suede ink. Use Real ed Stampin Write Pens on the Reindeer nose and also on one of the hats. Use Sodt Sued Stampin Write Pen on the antlers.

Adhere dimensionals as shown:

Place the "be merry" centerd on the inside of the card:

Last step: add a drop of Crystal Effects on top of the red nose.

Supplies:
  • Stamps: Holiday Lineup, Warm Words
  • CS: Kraft, Real Red, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DSP
  • Ink: Soft Suede
  • Accys: SU Exclusive Big Shot Matchbox Die (label), Sleigh Bells Ribbon, Stampin’ Write Soft Suede and Real Red Pens, Dimensionals, Crystal Effects

Thank you for stopping by.....stay tuned for the next project tom. HUGS..................HEE HEE...........
