Cupcake Gift Card Pop-Up

I am sooooo glad to complete this project.......I just had to make one: a cupcake 3D Pop-Up Ball.........Yikes! Crazy! Finished card size: 6"x6". "Time To" and "celebrate" are popped up with dimensionals. The White CS background is stamped with the small little cupcake from the Short & Sweet stamp set using Pretty in Pink Classic Ink.
For some fun, wrap the Die cut Swirl around the Cupcake liner. Scallop edge the top of the cupcake liner and also use SU exclusive Background Texturz I. Finally, the cupcake liner is popped up with dimensionals. The cherry is from the Simple Birthday Thanks cupcake - It is hand cut it down to proportion.

Top view of the inside card:

Card completely opened:

Flat view of inside card:

3D Pop-Up Cupcake: The cherry on top is from the Simple Birthday Thanks cut out and popped with a dimensional. The "icing" is hand cut (sorry - no template)

On the left inside: there is a Scallop Square gift card holder (or a small note) inside. The small cupcake is from the Level 3 Hostess set: The More the Merrier. Color the cupcake with Stampin' Write Pens, punch using a 1" Circle Punch, backed with a 1-1/4" Circle Punch, popped with a dimensional. Close using a taffeta ribbon.

See the nice message inside (from Everything Nice stamp set):

To make the cupcake: Follow instructions that come with the Pop-Up 3D Ball Die. In addition, cut (6) 3" x 2-1/4" in Pretty in Pink to be used for the cupcake liner. Use the scallop boarder punch on top edge and also the Texturz Background 1 on all 6 pieces. Hmmmm............I wonder if it would have been better to scallop punch along the fold edge..............if you try it let me know if it works out better!

To make the inside gift card holder, the scoring and punching info below:
Use the Word Window Punch 1/2" from right and left edge, 1-1/4" up from the bottom edge. Score 1-3/4" from the top and fold over. Apply sticky tape to the back, position cut ribbon, and attach to card inside
Here's what the finished card should look like:
Note the card size is 2-1/8" x 3-1/4", finished corners using the 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch.

Supplies:
  • Stamps: Celebrate Everything, Short & Sweet, Everything Nice, Simple Birthday Thanks, The More the Merrier (level 3 Hostess)
  • CS: Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink

  2. Wow Patti, you have been so busy. You have put a lot of effort into this card. It must have been time consuming. I really like it, well done. Hand cutting is not my strong suit so I applaud you.
