Asian Tag Box

Here's my attempt at making a tag box. This project was inspired by Tonya at http://www.stampingwithsweett.blogspot.com/. Her Level 2 Hostess XmasTag box is great! See her blog for the tutorial. I tweaked the instructions to accomdate these tags. Finished box size: 4-1/2" x 5" x 3/4"

Here are the tags: Note the ribbon at top is held down with a brad. Finished tag size (excluding ribbon): 4-1/2" x 2".

Close-up of tags:

A stamped liner was made using Naturals Ivory. The center separating "bar" is secured using sticky tape. (cut 1 strip of 5" x 2" CS, score 3/8", 5/8", 5/8, 3/8. Make a triangle. Apply sticky tape on the 3/8" sections. Position on top of liner.)

Copics used to color the Girls:

Here are the stamps used:

Supplies:
  • Stamps: Bamboo Background (unknown vendor), 3 Japanese Dolls (Hero Arts), Four Chinese Wishes (Hero Arts), Cute & Curly (retired SU)
  • CS: Old Olive, Natural Ivory, Real Red, Lavender Lace, Summer Sun, Pixie Pink, Neenah White
  • Ink: Old Olive, Momento Black Tuxedo
  • Accys: Copic Markers, 5/8" Circle Punch (non SU), 3/4" Circle Punch, Curly Label Punch, 1/16" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Gold Brad, Piercer, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in the following colors: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Delphinium (retired), 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Linen Thread, Sticky Tape, Clear Acetate (non SU)

Thanks for stopping by.................XOXO

  4. What a cool idea for a gift! I think these are way to pretty to use as tags...they would be wonderful to use as bookmarks. Great box, too...really like the acetate cover. And I am definitely on a safari to find that bamboo stamp!
