Santa Stamp Card

Here's another project from the Santa's Visit SVG cut file from SVGcuts.com. By using SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot program), this card came together in a snap. This is another "shaped" card with a vintage feel. It resembles a postage stamp. Finished card size is 4-7/8" x 6". An envelope cut file is included in the collection for this card. The gold thread around the frame with gold brads gives the finishing touch.

Gold brads hold the gold thread. In the top left corner, the gold thread is tied into a bow, then secured with a drop of Crystal Lacquer.

Edges of the hat are sponged with SU Close to Cocoa. Beard and eyebrows are sponged with SU Sahara Sand. Cheeks are made by using a dauber...........pounce lightly to get the desired color. Eyes are punched with a 1/8" hand held punch, adhered using 2 way glue pen. Santa is popped with dimensionals on top of the mat.

Inside card: Sponge the edge of the inside mat with SU Close to Cocoa ink.

Card Back:

Supplies:

  • CS: SU Old Olive, SU Naturals Ivory, SU Cherry Cobbler, SU Chocolate Chip, Recollections White, SU Blush Blossom, SU Holiday Merry Moments DSP (retired)

  • Ink: SU Close to Cocoa, SU Sahara Sand, SU Pink Pirouette

  • Accys: SU Starburst Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug Tapestry and Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, Gold Brads, Gold Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Adhesive, 1/8" Hand Held Punch, Crystal lacquer, 2 Way Glue Pen

  3. Hi Patti!

I check your blog every single day, and have for a couple of years. I LOVE your creativity. I'm just wondering what I would need to get started with SCAL program? A Cricut or something similar? And do you buy the SCAL files online? Stores? Thanks! I'm very interested, your items look like you spend days on them! Carrie

    Hi Carrie
thank you for your inquiry - feel free to contact me for more details...regarding SCAL - you need to purchase the computer program and the SVG cut files are also availble from various sites: my favorite site is SVGcuts.com so if you click on the link located on my top left side bar - you will get to their site. They will have info on SCAL and tutorials for using SCAL. You will now need to have a separate cutter which will be explained also on SVGcuts.com as the Cricut can no longer be a tool for cutting. Hope this will anwer your immediate question. Of not, feel free to contact me further.
    my best
    Patti
